My husband was a Lawson. He died in 1987 and even before he died I had started trying to find out something about his family. He really did not know much. His mom and dad were divorced and I knew his grandmother (barely) She was also divorced from her husband. I never knew him. I have pieced as much as I can together but when I saw the virtual cemetery you have done I wondered if you might know anything that would help me.
My husband was Johnnie Eugene Lawson Sr born 1927. His father was Clarence Jones Lawson. Clarence's mother Fannie Cudd was married to Edward Lawson (He later married a Carpenter). Edwards parents were Thomas Lawson and Martha (Mattie) Willard. Thomas' mother was Anna and she lived with them on the 1880 census when their oldest child (Cornelia "Nealie") was a baby. I never found Anna with a husband. I found Thomas and Mattie living in Spb. county, Union county, and Newberry county. I think Anna is buried at Yarbrough Cem. at Cross Anchor.
If you have any info that might help I would SO appreciate it. Eleanor Lawson

Thank you all so much for your work with Find A Grave. You are helping so many people. FOr many years as I worked on my family genealogy, I visited many cemeteries searching for my families.
Now I am unable to visit them at all. At my age and poor health, Find A Grave has come to mean so very much to me. I just hold the people who work so diligently in high esteem. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all you do. I am sure you don't get thanks enough. I hope it will be okay with you for me to copy your photos for my family files on Ancestry and Family TreeMaker. Thanks again and keep up your good work. God Bless you all.

On Reuben Griffin's memorial grave site, number above, you have quoted from his will listing the testors or witnesses at the botton. One of those is Christopher Griffin. It says he is the son of David Griffin. Can you show or send me the information you used to put that on the site? WE are looking for the link from Christopher and my DNA Griffin line which is a very close link. Any help is appreciated. Lin
Thank you so much for transferring memorial.

I just now found a few McCrary’s buried at Sardis Methodist Church Cemetery of Clinton, SC. My mother was a McCrary, her family came from Clinton, SC, her father was A. Curtis McCrary 1861-1948. I wonder if we have an kin left around Clinton, SC?
And I want to thank Paul, Karen, & Katherine for having posted pictures of the McCrary’s grave so that I could find them so easily.

You recently posted a picture on my father's memorial (Elbert Eugene "Bodie" McDowell, Sr.). I am respectfully requesting that it be removed or at the very least be cropped to include only the information that pertains to my father.
Thank you. Carol McDowell
