Remember our Veterans for all their service and sacrifice. Love to do my walking in cemeteries as they are so peaceful. Spend time at Bellefontaine Cemetery in St Louis as I have three generations on both sides of my mothers side buried there.

Thank you in advance for any edits or added info that you may send to me as I Probably will not send individual messages.

How do I get a relative's memorial transferred to me?
First, Determine if you really need the memorial transferred to you for management. Transferring of management should only be requested If you have extensive changes to make to a memorial. You can add photos and suggest corrections without having to request management. Simply having someone in your family tree is not grounds for a management transfer request. With hundreds of thousands of contributors, we have many overlapping family trees and it would be impossible for all contributors to manage their entire tree.

Hey Randal, thanks for the message. I would just stay with what you have. I will delete that edit right now.

Re: Walker, Houston, Harper, Maneke
Julius Maneke (1886-1974) married Hannah Harper (1884-?).
George Walker (1849-1887) married Jessie Houston (1855-1933).

Hope this helps.

You have George's wife as Ann Colquhoun Blackman. Can you tell me which is her maiden name? I always thought Colquhoun was and had never seen the name Blackman. Was she married previous to George Walker? Can you tell me where the information came from?

Thank you, these are my great great grandparents.

Sorry about that! I know about the edit tab but it has been a while since I have been on here and for some reason I didn't think to use it.
If you look closely at the stone, you will see it is actually a 5 not a 3. I lost sleep over this one because I couldn't figure out how his 1st wife Judith (my ancestor) died the week after his baby with another woman died. The stone is leaning against Judith's so apparently they must have been close but I doubted that she would let her husband have a baby with another woman. : ) In July of 1873 there was a cholera outbreak but I was unable to find DC on either one of them.

I am only a couple years late...I wanted to thank you for taking the time to photograph the tombstone of Alfred Henry Byrd, buried there. Do you still have this in your camera, or do you delete once posted? I am curious because I cannot read what the base says under his name. If you do great! Will you crop it to bring it in, so maybe I can read it? If possible that would be wonderful. I would appreciate it if you could email me a copy for my family web site? lindadukes50@aol.com...If it was deleted at least I took a chance, and asked you :-) Have a nice weekend.
