I'M ROLLING THE WORLD ONE ADVENTURE AT A TIME|
I'm having a full, productive, and adventurous life! I'm passionate about travel/adventure. I've traveled the world on many exciting adventures. Some consider me a paraplegic "Indiana Jones" and ghost hunter extraordinaire. While I was in graduate school at UT San Antonio, I studied anthropology/archeology/history which stirred my interest in past cultures.
I've been researching the paranormal since I was nine. In 1988, I spent seven days in a 100 year old haunted house in Manatou Springs, Colorado. I've been to Tombstone, AZ on a ghost hunt and have explored some frontier ghost towns, such as, Langtry, TX (Judge Roy Bean's old haunt), Shakespeare, NM, Madrid, NM, Cerrillos, NM, and Golden, NM. In the fall of 2007, I plan a more extensive expedition exploring ghost towns for not only their paranormal value but historical interest as well.
Some of my eclectic travels have included: traveling by train in the Yukon, exploring Alaska by wheelchair twice, popping "wheelies" on the southern rim of the Grand Canyon, exploring the Wisconsin Dells by boat, exploring Mayan ruins in the Yucatan jungles and,of course, visiting Club Med and partying in Cancun and Cozumel.
I've rolled up the Jemez mountains in Northern New Mexico at Bandolier National Monument studying the Anasazi ruins on an ancient caldera. I've been north of Mexico City studying the Aztec "Teotihuaca'n" pyramids. I've also popped 'wheelies" on Hoover Dam and partied on the Las Vegas strip.
I've traveled by speedboat in Belize, by cruise ships on two oceans and two seas. I've partied in San Diego and while there, I went to Old Town and went to the most haunted house in America (according to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce), the Whaley House, and personally saw two ghosts looking at me from the second floor window.
I did a major "power slide" while racing down a hill in San Francisco's China Town popping a "wheelie" at the base of the hill. I've partied numerous times on the Riverwalk in San Antonio and while there, visited and researched one of the most haunted places in the U.S., the Ghost Tracks at Villa and Main Street.
I've gone through the Panama Canal and have driven along the eastern rim of the Grand Canyon and through Death Valley, CA. I've been to La Quebrada in Acapulco and I've body surfed in Cancun. I partied in Seattle, shopped at Pike Place Market and drank coffee at Star Bucks on the Space Needle. I also partied in Key West and rolled down Duval Street to Jimmy Buffet's "Margaritaville" restaurant and bar.
I've partied throughout most of the Caribbean with special memories of Orangstad, Aruba, Roatan, Honduras, Georgetown, Grand Cayman, and Ocho Rios, Jamaica.
One memorable trip was a road trip on the Pacific Coast Highway and on the Grapevine in Los Angeles, CA. In 2000, my father and I took our first cruise from Los Angeles, CA.
Oh, and I must not forget my numerous trips to New Orleans: to party on Bourbon Street, to drink Hurricanes at Pat O'Brien's, to eat beignets and drink cafe ole' at Cafe Du Monde, to eat an early breakfast at the Poppy Seed Grill, to take an evening jazz cruise on the Cajun Queen, and, of course, to hunt ghosties.
In essence, life is wonderful!!! I'm in a terrific relationship with my wife, Abigail. We were married on 4/28/07. I love my career and I love my mobile home and land in central Texas. I have no children, at least none that I know of, this allows me a lot of freedom to travel and to do what I wish to do. In spite of my paraplegia, I'm extremely happy. One's degree of happiness is a choice. I have my salvation, I'm comfortable financially, and I'm very close to my family and friends. I'm very blessed!!!
