It has been a joy to work on Find-A-Grave during the last 8 years. I have tried to mainly enter memorials that I have photographed, because I feel that photo's don't lie. In our area there have been quite a few entries to Find-A-Grave using old handwritten surveys. I appericate the effort that was taken to get these surveys & the effort to enter them on Find-A-Grave, but the people that entered them made many mistakes and have caused families, looking for their loved ones, to not be able to find them. I hope that my photographs have cleared up some of the mess. If you need corrections please use the edit on the memorial. I will transfer, to releatives within the guidelines of Find-A-Grave. I do not link to unknown burials (please read Find A Graves rules for unknown burials) Location of body unknown is used for recent deaths where the disposition is not currently known. Final disposition must be determined and updated within 30 days. |
My main family work is Meador, DeCocq, Sellers, Sanders, Graham, Turner, Lee, Johnson, Devin, & Stephens
God Bless Everyone that has helped me!!!
For some that don't get the hint. I am a Meador, My mother is a Sellers, My Grandmothers were Sanders & Graham. My G-Grandmothers were Lee, Turner, Stephens & Lucas. My wife is a DeCocq & her grandmothers are Bucklin, Johnson & Hastings
PLEASE DO NOT USE MY PHOTOGRAPHS on any site that you have to pay to get into the site. I took the photographs for the entire world to use for free!
I spent my time photographing, editing & entering them for their family so they might see what they look like now. I did not take them for someone that does not care about them one bit except to make a profit! Richard Glenn Meador

Hi Richard, Thanks for the answer. Yes, I saw those graves in Mississippi that you have posted with pics of the graves. Maybe someday we will find out if those are our missing Hugh and Elizabeth. I have scoured the cemeteries in the Temple area and have found all my direct Meador ancestors that are there to be found, I believe. I wanted to pass along something that I discovered awhile back in case you did not know. A Meador researcher named Katherine Reynolds died in the Houston area and left all her research documents to the Clayton Library in Houston. There are multiple volumes of her charts and copies of letters both to and from her. In those pre-internet days, she had only deeds and census' and vital records to work with. You would truly enjoy reading her Meador Family Documents. Most of her work leads directly to you and me.

I am Laura Grover and I am a Meador researcher as well. Mary Jane Graves Meador was my third great grandmother. I am writing you because I am wondering if you have a hint as to where her mother, Elizabeth Hendricks Meador may be buried? Do you know if she came to Texas with the rest of the group? I would appreciate any information you may have.
Thanks for all you do for Find A Grave!
I want you to know how greatful I am for the time and effort you put in taking the photos particularly at the Cross Cemetery and the Evans Cemetery. I have been to both cemeteries several times and overlooked markers that I later found through your efforts to be so meaningful. Again, thank you! Bettye

Thank you! Appreciate the fast response, your time, and the new place for headstone.
|Martha Huff||James parker - samuel masters|
Samuels parents were Charles Hills Masters and Eleanora Miller. He had one brother DeWitt Masters and 7 children one of which I was my grandmother Anna Elenora Masters. Where the Parker info came from no one knows.
|Martha Huff||James Joseph Parker 1875-1917|
I see you have Samuel C Masters listed a being a sibling with James Joseph Parker. This is not possible. Samuel C Masters is my great grandfather. He never lived in Arkansas. He is buried in our family plot in Bowling Green city cemetery, Bowling Green, Mo. If you look him up n find a grave you will find the upgraded bio I put in place when the Masters family was passed to me. I have been unable to remove the incorrect info, but maybe you can remove him from your site for me. If you have any info about him I would appreciate it. I am not sure where he ever appeared with the Parker site. We recently published a family book about the Masters and there is no Parker family anywhere.

I put her maiden name as Bramhall and as soon as I submitted it I realized my mistake. Her maiden name is Stovall. Sorry for the confusion
