I am a Title Searcher, which ties together my love of history and research. Title searching a piece of property is similar to researching a family’s history.

I have been working, periodically, on mine and my husband's family histories since the 1970's. My love of family stories started in childhood, when my parents would talk about growing up and their relatives at the dinner table. Two of my most prized possessions are a tape recording of my Dad recounting his time on the USS Otis (sub tender) during WW II and my husband’s Grandmother recounting her life and family.

I am currently adding obituaries from the Danbury News Times, and from the family history I am compiling. When I visit my parents graves in Wyckoff, NJ, I will continue the work already started there.

Although, I try to be accurate, if any errors are found or you would like something added, please do not hesitate to contact me. I would also consider taking pictures of local headstones, or buildings for those doing research from a distance.

If anyone has information on the following families, please do not hesitate to contact me. JACKSON, SCHIFFTNER, FUNDER, MASON, HAYES, CONCANNON, HOLLAND, HAVENS, KINNEY, HAYWOOD, GRANERT, VOORHIS, PULIS, KRUFFUS, CHRISTENSDR, THYGESEN, HUNT, CHALMERS, BAILEY, HASLAM, CARLSON, LUHAGENBERRY, HUNT.
These families came from England, Ireland, Germany, Denmark, Holland and Sweden. They mostly settled in the New York and Boston areas, before moving on to other locations in the USA. I need information on both sides of the Atlantic on them.

I would be interested in hearing from anyone who has been helped by the information I have entered.

My photo request for John W. Stoner Find A Grave Memorial# 10025516
hank you so very much for fulfilling my photo request. I was discouraged when Findagrave notified me that it could not be fulfilled without plot information, which the cemetery toldme they would only provide for a petty high charge.By any chance, do you have the plot information, so I can add it to his memorial?

I am collecting the memorials of my Naval Academy classmates into a virtual cemetery, '53 classmates, and you and other volunteers nationwide are doing a lot to make it a real gift to us all.

Edna Martin Jack
Hello LMJ,
One of your find grave memorials is an ancestor of mine. She was my great grand aunt. She was born, Edna Rose Lewis. She married a Dickson, then Martin, then Jack.

According to a copy of a Supplemental Report of Birth dated, 26 Nov 1943, her correct birth date is 11 Oct 1880. I have a picture of her that I would love to upload to the memorial, if you wouldn't mind. She was quite lovely.

I hope to hear from you.
Kim

Hi,

I'm interested in any information you might have on Catherine and her husband Albert? Albert was my Great Uncle. Are you aware of any living relatives for her?

Thanks

Pauline Katz
Hi there,

I was working on documenting the Children of Israel cemetery in Danbury, CT and see that you listed Pauline Katz as being born in 1903 and dying in 1913, but from her gravestone, she died in 1931. Could you update it, please?

Thanks!

Mandy
