I have always taken an interest in history and genealogy which I inherited from my gr-grandfather Porter Matteson. I find this site helps me to help others find their loved ones, even if they can't actually visit the graves. I enjoy helping with this mission. My goal is to eventually have most of the tombstones in McLennan County, Texas online for everyone to see.|
I am willing to do some research if needed in McLennan and Falls County.

He is the husband of my Great Grand Aunt - Carolina Virginia Riley Richardson. The big bronze marker - marks both their graves.

Is your Tex Moore, Find A Grave Memorial# 139943611, the painter John "Tex" Marcellus Moore?
If so, although I am not related to him, I am a collector of his art work and would be happy to take over his memorial to add much details about him.

|MLCVE||Buford A Fox|
I'm going through pictures my mom left to me and I found two with B A Fox on the back. One of them has a Texas stamp on the back. This man was with my granddad during WWI (as written on the back of the picture.) Do you happen to actually know this man? And if so, can you help me determine if it's the same man as represented in this memorial? Because if so, I would LOVE to attach these two pictures to him. One was taken in France and the other on a porch in a wheelchair with his sister standing beside him. My grandparents did travel some to see family and old friends and seeing how they lived in southwest Arkansas they could very possibly have made a stop to see this old friend. Thank you.

|Wm. R. Crabb||William Elkanah Briggs|
Realizing there are several sites at Ancestry.com that indicate his name was William Elroy Briggs, I assure you this is wrong. Roy Briggs, his grandson, who thoroughly remembered his childhood hunting and fishing excursions with my gr gr grandfather, John Freeman Thompson, and other family data, confirmed to me in 1970 that his grandfather's name was William Elkanah Briggs and that his grandfather was named for his grandfather, Elkanah Briggs. At the time I had him spell E L K A N A H for me so there would be no mistake. Roy Briggs is buried at Kosse City Cemetery.

Thank you for the transfer of Docia Savannah (Adams) Mason! I shall work on it diligently and get her kids linked to her! You might have some of those too (I haven't looked yet) ... so talk with you again, surely! Thanks for all your wonderful help/work with Find A Grave! It's thanks to people like you that I have been able to find the graves for my family members buried in other towns! Best regards - Leah Stubbs
