Bio and Links
Bio Photo Born in California, I grew up in Oregon, Washington State, Germany and South Carolina.
I started researching my family about 15 years ago. I am the granddaughter of German immigrants, the great granddaughter of Oregon and Idaho pioneers and am the 4X great granddaughter of Daniel and Rebecca Bryan Boone, descending from Daniel Morgan and Sarah Griffin Lewis Boone>Daniel and Mary Constance Philabert Boone>Theodore Warner and Martha Alice Thompson Boone>Minnie Boone and Guy Earl Ingersoll>Willard Bowman and Helen True Ingersoll.

I also descend from Richard Ingersoll, born Bedfordshire, England late 1587, married Ann Langley in Sands, England 1616. Richard and family arrived in Plymouth on the ship Mayflower II on May 15, 1629. He and his family became residents of Salem, Colony of Massachusetts Bay in 1629.

Sarah Margaret Boone Stevenson
Hi Geraldine,

I saw that you weren't sure about Sarah Margaret Boone Stevenson's death in Los Angeles, CA. in 1950.

According to the "California Death Records" and's "California, Death Index, 1940-1997" there is a record for a "Margaret Boone Stevenson" born Feb 3, 1854 in Missouri and died Aug 4, 1950 in Los Angeles, CA. Her mother's partial maiden name was "Philipa" probable misspelling of Philibert. She was 96 years old.

Cassandra Boone Douglas
Thought you might be interested. After researching my Douglas(s) relatives for many years, I ran across a newspaper article about Cassandra Boone Douglas dying at the home of her son, D. J. Douglas, in Hawthorne, CA. and that she would be buried in Texas.
I found the burial sites for both Cassandra and her husband, George Douglas, through an obituary of another son, Raleigh Ortho Douglas. I called Castro Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Dimmitt, Texas and confirmed these 3 burials. I've created memorials for them and linked them to their parent's memorials.

Cassandra Boone Douglas (Memorial# 120494815)

George Douglas (Memorial# 120494720)

Raleigh Ortho Douglas (Memorial# 120493771)

George is also the brother of Jane "Jennie" Douglas Boone (Memorial# 21999599) who was married to Cassandra's brother Napoleon Boone (Memorial# 23224235).

Greg Ossipoff
I served in the U.S. Army with Greg Ossipoff in the summer of 1959, yet his Obituary does not mention his military service. Could he not be the same greg Ossipoff? If my memory serves me correctly his middle name was Peter.

Thank you. I was sent a photo of headstone but it had Jewish Cemetery on the back. Thank you for the info. They must have converted as their parents were jewish. I have changed their burial location. Have a wonderful 4th of July as we celebrate our nations birthday and remember those who have served in our military since 1776.
