Update 2013: Currently "stuck" in Arizona for 6 months while fighting cancer. Willing to do additional research (when able) at the local libraries and/or courthouses if obits or other items are needed.
Retired full time travelers searching for ancestors graves. We try to fulfill photo requests in whatever area we are in at the time.
Please let me know if I've made an error; I'll research and fix them. If I have a family member of yours listed I'll be happy to transfer the memorial to you.
Currently working the cemeteries of Madison County, Iowa. | |

 | Primitive Baptist Cem I noticed that you did a search for a person in Primitice Baptist Cem. Madison Co. Iowa and, you said, "Cemetery records show that person in unmaked grave"
My question is, Can you tell me where to find the cemetery records? I called the church and the lady there said that the church didnt keep any records. And that I should just walk the cemetery. Hope you can assist me in this.
Thanks, RoxanneAdded by RRiggan on Apr 16, 2013 10:51 AM | | | cmc
 | RE: Samuel Alexander McCullough North McDonald Cemetery Madison County Iowa Carolyn, Thanks for your timely reply. Would appreciate your letting me know where I would find the "cemetery burial records" as I am relatively new to this 'game.' Thanks again, CarenAdded by cmc on Apr 15, 2013 5:23 PM | | | cmc
 | Samuel Alexander McCullough North McDonald Cemetery Madison County Iowa Carolyn, I hesitate to write when I read that you are battling cancer. Major hurdles in our lives stop us in our tracks and make us realize what is important in life! My little problem is insignificant... I so hope that all is going well with you!
"Samuel" Alexander McCullough and his wife Elizabeth, buried in the North McDonald Cemetery in Madison County Iowa, were my great-great grandparents, but I had no knowledge of them, not even their names, before I visited their memorial pages at Find-a-grave and Madison County's GenWeb site. I share this fact to let you know how much I appreciate your time and talents!
I do have a question that I hope you can answer...
I have spent a considerable amount of time over the past two years attempting to trace the McCullough line previous to my great-great grandparents with no real success. Since you have posted two pieces of information on "Samuel" Alexander's page at Find-a-grave that cannot be learned simply by reading his gravestone (there is no "Samuel" on his gravestone, only "Alexander," and there is a link to his son's stone in Vicksburg National Cemetery in Mississippi), I assume someone who knows the McCullough family much better than I has added this information. I am hoping you might have some information that would help to put me in contact with this relative.
Again, my sincere wishes for a good recovery... Caren Dicken carenmarie1953@gmail.comAdded by cmc on Apr 14, 2013 12:03 PM | | | Donna Anderson Bridges
