Hello...I'm back after a short recess from Find A Grave. I apologize to those of you waiting on replies from me regarding memorials. I assure you I am working to catch up daily.|
My family names consist of Fry(e) McIntyre Hammer Shively (Sheibler) Procyk Hartzell all on Fathers side AND Hixson Stape Schmucker Rumbaugh Hile (Heyl Heil Hyle) Kley on Mothers side...to name a few. I am from the Western PA, Westmoreland Cty. area originally.
Please note that I do not transfer family names, but would be happy to add info for you.

I wish to thank you thank you thank you for this fantastic cleanup.
I traced this cemetery years ago by hunting it down on old maps...I literally found it by spotting only the concrete steps leading up to top of hill full of overgrowth....the steps were where Bash was supposed to be by the map I had. Searching for my ancestor's 1815 grave there was a genuine thrill...found it.....completely abandoned and overgrown, etc. Being from Michigan, I didn't make it back there to clean up...
Now I must make the trip back there for a look-see again.

The only stone I could find for John J. Cliff has a different death date. According to the Connecticut, Hale Cemetery Inscriptions and Newspaper Notices, 1629-1934 for New Town House Hill Cemetery, Chester, Connecticut (Old Cemetery)
These are the only Cliff's listed:
Cliff, J. Addin, son of John J. & Elizabeth, died Mar. 9, 1877, age 20
Cliff, Hattie I., daughter of John J. & Elizabeth, died June 7, 1880, age 18
Cliff, John J., died Oct. 30, 1903, age 75
Cliff, Elizabeth, wife of John J., died Aug. 16, 1897, age 69
Paula... please submit parents memorial numbers so I can link them. You've sent me several "edits" but aren't providing all of the info needed. Tks :)
Can you add the information in the bio, without a link?

|Bruce Sonner||Homer Daugherty Paxson|
I have found an error on Homer Daugherty Paxson, Find A Grave# 65834960. His parents are listed , currently, as Chester Allen Paxson Find A Grave# 99174700 and Chester's wife, Emily Barker Paxson Find A Grave# 99175238. This is not correct. this is Homer's brother and sister -in-law. Homer's parents should be listed as:
Charles E. Paxson Find A Grave# 99163953 and Homer's mother, Lida Daugherty Paxson Find A Grave# 99176926. Will you make the appropriate corrections?
|Sylvia Kelley||Old German Cemetery|
Thank you so much for posting the photo of the Old German Cemetery. Several years ago when I found out that it no longer existed I could not believe it! How sad that one of the oldest cemeteries, if not the oldest, in this part of the country was destroyed. What is wrong with people! For an unattractive shopping center!!!? Has anyone ever suggested some kind of a memorial marking the spot?
I would like to know who's idea it was to do this terrible thing. When I pass the spot I get annoyed if not angry! Again thanks for the photo and article. Sylvia

I have a question about the birth dates you have for Frederick and Margaret. I found the burial listing for the Old German Cemetery, and the entries for them only give their death dates, and in the case of Frederick, his age.
Could you please tell me where these dates came from? Did you already have it when you created the memorial, or did it come from someone else later? I appreciate your help whenever you have the time.

You may notice on your 'Edit Tab' on your profile page that I have some edits pending for you pertaining to the Taylor family, who are relations of mine. I had made a mistake when I first sent an edit to you, so when you approve the ones that are pending, it will clear up the error(s). Thanks!
Thank you for the update and for all of your work in maintaining these memorials. Best wishes to you in your work here at Find a Grave.
