RE: Kirkpatrick-Hiatt Cemetery
Bill, was your mother Bessie Raisor who married John Jenkins Kirkpatrick?

Did she ever say how John's brother Albert David who worked on the railroad died? That is my line and we don't even know when or how he died. We know he died after October 27, 1900. He left 3 young children who were with his mother Catherine (Kitty) who was in Louisville. The mother of the children was already deceased. Did your mother ever mention a half- sister of John's who was living in Illinois and adopted David's little girl?

I would appreciate any old stories or information that you can give me.

Smallwood Cemetery
I'm trying to figure out how to locate the Smallwood Cemetery which has the description "Bald Rock Farm - Hwy 968." Is this a road intersection or a farm on Highway 968?

This is a small family cemetery which has not had any internments in a long time so I'm anticipating it will be difficult to find.

I'm aware there is a another Smallwood Cemetery on McIver Road in Clinton County.

Any help is appreciated.

Artemia Bilbrey
Bill,
Please unattach Artemis Bilbrey from Artem Wilson Phillips Bilbrey.
My great grandmother is not her mother. Artem Wilson Bilbrey only had one daughter, my grandmother, Bertha Phillips Welch. My great grand mother, Artem Wilson zphillips Bilbrey was the daughter of Joe Wilson (first person buried in the Wilson Cemetery) and Margaret Elmore Wilson.
My great grandmother Artem Wilson Phillips Bilbrey was first married to Spencer Phillips. They had a daughter, Bertha Lee Phillips. Spencer died and Artem married Henry Bilbrey. THEY HAD NO CHILDREM TOGETHER. Henry had two children by a previous marriage... Clinton and Bessie.
The Artemis Bilbrey you have attached to my Artem Wilson Phillips Bilbrey is the daughter of Artemis Phillips and Ras Bilbrey. That Artemis Phillips was the daughter of Moses and Artemis Beaty Phillips.
Ironically, just to confuse matters, Artemis Beaty Phillips was an aunt of Joseph Wilson, the sister of his mother Julia Beaty Wilson. Ha. That's where the name Artemis came from. Ha.
So please unattach the connection between Artem Wilson Phillips Bilbrey as being the mother of Artemis Bilbrey. My cousins are about to have a fit.
Thanks,
Dale awelch
