PLEASE use the Edit tab and Suggest a Correction link to add/correct information. I try to get to them within 24 hours of receipt. |
PLEASE use the Edit tab and Suggest a Correction to request a transfer. Please include your relationship to the dearly departed. Please spare me the "I am the family genealogist" and the "I have tons of information to add" stories. I've been burned too many times by people requesting out-of-guidelines transfers and then never adding so much as a comma to the memorial. Requests for bulk transfers will be summarily ignored.
I WILL NOT link to just "burial unknown". This IS a grave registration site.
If I do not maintain the memorial, but add a picture, PLEASE check the photo caption for the inscription.
My love of old cemeteries is genetic from my dad. I try to take pictures of the fallen/damaged markers first as they might end up "behind the shed" or "over the wall" by the next time I get there.

Thank you very much for checking on this for me. I really appreciate it. Now I will be able to look for the stone on my next trip to the cemetery.

Hi, PK. As I've just noted using the Edit button, the 1824 death date given for Martha in her memorial is actually that of her daughter, Martha Emeline, who is buried beside her and for whom I've just created a new memorial with photo. The death dates of both are confirmed by Cummington VRs, and I also added photos of Leonard and Martha C.'s stones.

|rjd24||John A Sullivan|
You have a memorial for John A Sullivan in St. Mary's Cemetery, Northampton, Ma. who died in 1936. Do you have any idea where in the cemetery you located that grave marker? I have looked for his grave in the past and have been unable to find it. Thanks for any help.

|apc65||may I take a copy of a picture|
Sir....apparently you have taken a picture of the tombstone of one relatives; Jennette (Gilligan) Childs....thank you.....is it possible to save a copy of that picture and upload to my Ancestry.com tree, with all due credit? If this is accepable to you please provide me with how you want the credit to read. If this is unacceptable to you, I will abide with your wishes. Thanks

|Noreen Cullen||Feel free|
Also, please feel free to delete any of my grave records that are duplicates. It's all for the good of the order! (I have a feeling the original Nipsic Indian Tribe would find this all quite amusing.)

PK ~~ I'm so glad you are merging "Neipsic" and "Nipsic" Cemetery! It has been difficult to figure out where to place these records.
The Native People had no written language so one spelling would be as meaningless as the other to them, although we see Neipsic more often. In the older records you can see Glastonbury spelled "Glassenbury" and other variations, too.
Thank you so much for working on the merging of these cemeteries!

Nice catch to finding that there were 2 Green cemeteries per F.A.G. site. one with over 2,000 memorials and other with just 2.
I had moved her to the larger so hopefully the duplicate cemetery can soon be deleted.
Thanks again! Rich

Thanks for the explanation! I did not know that.
