You posted msg on his memorial that he was your 4th g-grandfather. I am searching for more info on a Thomas B Steele (also Monroe Co WV) who married Martha Bean in Monroe and may be descendant of this Thomas Steele on Find A Grave. Do you have any info? Thank you.

|Greg Volk||RE: Father of # 82057375|
There is a longstanding confusion on the internet about the husband of Nancy (Combs) Musick (35942852, b 1803). I myself once believed it was the older Elijah Musick (120584935, b ca 1786), but the census records show that the father of Nancy's children was his nephew Elijah (82057375, b 1809). The records of these children mention their father Elijah in marriage and death records several times, so there's no question that it was an Elijah.
Elijah (1809) was found with his 13 children (some by his second wife Elizabeth) in 1850 in Letcher County, KY. They then moved West, into Missouri. We find some of these children buried with him there. It's the right guy, for sure.
I strongly encourage you to browse the profile of Elijah Musick (1809, L6GD-WKS) in Family Tree. You can easily click to his wife and uncle as well.

Thanks, Janis for your reply. I will keep researching as well. If i turn over a stone and find something i'll let you know. It does seem, with time, new genealogical information gets added and knocks down a brick wall! So hoping for this here as well.
David and Mary seem to disappear after 1844. Possible that David's first name is William but don't have proof of it.
Thanks, again, for your reply.

|Greg||RE: Mary Elizabeth White|
I was perusing your information regarding David, #80550115 and Nancy White. I have been trying to overcome a brick wall regarding an ancestor, David Bryan, who marries a Mary White in Lawrence County, KY in 1839. It is presumed that they had a son, Roland Tanner Bryan #55876505. He was born in Cabell County WV in 1844. By 1865, Roland has a son Abram Bryan in Green Co, PA. Roland then migrates to Illinois,Iowa and settles his latter years in Mexico, MO. Roland's death certificates says his parents are David Bryan and Lizzie White. Roland's census shows that both parents,David and Mary Lizzie White were born in Kentucky. They are my brick wall. I have not found any information on them other than a marriage in 1839 in Kentucky. Would you have any information that may shed some light on the White side of the family? you can also correspond with me thru my email email@example.com. thanks for your time.

|T Bolt||Bolt Cemetery #1|
On this site http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=crMap&CRid=1968158 it lists GPS coordinates for the Bolt Cemetery however on a different site, it shows different coordinates http://southcarolina.hometownlocator.com/maps/feature-map,ftc,2,fid,1829116,n,bolt%20family%20cemetery.cfm. Regardless, the satellite view looks like both are in the woods. Any idea if the cemetery still remains or completely gone from the growth of the woods? Thanks.

Can you tell me where you got the information that John Davis Ross went by Jack? I've never seen this before. Thanks.
