I have lived in central Michigan my entire life. I started doing genealogy just out of curiosity several years ago. My mother-in-law gave me an old scrapbook with family newspaper clippings in it and my hobby began. I am married and have 3 grown children and 11 grandchildren. Genealogy is my passion and I wish I had more time to spend doing it. I am currently a registered nurse working in a small rural hospital and working really cramps my style! :-)
I also enjoy helping others, hence my submissions to "find a grave". I like to walk cemeteries and photograph the stones. I have even drafted my husband into helping me. I'm too big of a chicken to go alone. :-)
I know that when I run across something new that has been beyond my reach I am so excited. I hope by submitting tombstones, that I am able to help someone else find that little something they haven't been able to achieve.
You may email me privately at if you prefer.
If you are not a direct relative, according to findagrave guidelines, please do not ask for transfers. Thank you.

Memorial #88328364
Hi Cathy

I am the son of James Martin Campbell (Flake cemetery). As a child I was told that my Great Grandfather's barn was a stop on The Underground Railroad. This could have either been James Lapierre Campbell or Nathaniel Myers. I understand that they both lived near M66 in Barryton. Any insight you could provide would be greatly appreciated. Thank you,

Ernest Campbell

re: #81654203 Leon Francis Brenner
Hi Cathy,

Wasn't sure if you need the number with the names so I guess I'm doing them separately. Could you please transfer the management of my paternal grandfather's memorial to me? I have more information, obit, pictures, siblings, etc. that I would like to enter.

Thank you,

Lori Ann Brenner Watson

re: # 81654217 Emma M. Tice Brenner
Hi Cathy,

My name is Lori Ann Brenner Watson, I am a member of Find a Grave. I was wondering if you would pass on the care of my paternal grandparents and great grandparents to me. Emma Brenner and Leon Brenner are my grandparents and Clarence & Gertrude Tice are my grandparents. I would also appreciate the transfer of infant Tice as well. I have most of their obituaries that I would like to enter. I would appreciate it very much if you could do this for me. Thanks a lot.

RE: re 74225366 Elma Crouse
thank you for getting back to me Cathy, I still dabble at things a bit...I think its an addiction.
Im so glad to think you are actually related to them,as I feel like a heel not wanting to take on more than I already have. My kids are not even slightly interested, so I have to find someone else to take over all of my genealogy, all 35 years worth.
I have just learned today that Isaac Crouse was responsible for Meadowlily Bridge in 1856, and the Blackfriars Bridge in the Cherry Hill area of London.
Thanks again Cathy.

re 74225366 Elma Crouse
I would like to give you some info, her parents were Eliza Ann (Burgar) 15901326 and husband Issac Crouse 15901298.
I know that she was married to Walter McLeod on Jan 19 1887, it appears that marriage didnt last long, as she ended up having a family with Edward Copeland.
I am in my 80s so dont want to take on more than I already have. If I was smart I would find someone else to take over the contributions(mostly Burgars)I have started, but I am not smart I guess.
Eliza Anns brother was Frederick John Burgar, my great grandfather.
