I am a native of Sheboygan WI and presently live in Dane Co, WI. I have been involved in genealogy since about 1997, primarily in the Sheboygan County area. Surnames of particular interest to me are Head, McTaggart, Gartman, Wolf, Kleckner, Fenner, Schwenner and Sternig.|
I grew up across the street from a cemetery and find cemeteries fascinating. They are peaceful and historical and wonderful displays of stone art.
Additions, corrections and transfer requests are welcome.

The email from marlin might shed further light upon this.
I am sorry I was not able to fulfill your request for the gave of Rev Jacob Van Treeck. Last week I searched the cemetery. Although there are many other Van Treecks in the "family lot" there is no marker for Jacob. This morning I searched Newspaper Archive for his obituary. In the August 31, 1922 article in Sheboygan Press-Telegram it indicated he was to be buried on the grounds of St Peter Claver Church in Sheboygan. In a long article about his funeral in the September 5, 1922 Sheboygan Press-Telegram it said he was buried at St George Cemetery. I am truly surprised that a well-known and respected person as he was is in am un-marked grave.

Dear Jerry H.;
The Oakland Cemetery in Fort Dodge, Iowa has at least maybe 10 tree trunks. One is two tree trunks with limbs intwined together with a stump in the middle of the pair of trunks. The one trunk is the father who died in the Civil War. Just thought I'd share this info with you.

Thanks so much for the transfer.
