I have enjoyed doing finding a grave.
I love going to the cemeteries and helping others find tidbits of info that might be missing from their family tree. Sometimes all the info might not be available.

Thanks for getting back with me. After I asked you the question, I discovered that Ricky was buried in the same cemetery as Uncle Horace. Sorry to have bothered you. Thanks again. Pat
|Pat Staggs||Horace Jessie Bennett|
Hi Patricia, I'm am Pat Bennett Staggs, niece of Horace Bennett. Just wanted to let you know that his mother name was Rosa Virginia Hamlin Bennett. She is buried in Clay County Alabama with her parents. I'll have to look up the cemetery name. Thomas Jessie Bennett is buried at Rocky Mount Cemetery, in Jemison, Alabama. (Chilton County)
If you know were Ricky is buried, please let me know?
Thanks so much.

We did find the cemetery. Initially we were at the wrong one. My mother's younger half brother had some recollection of the spot since he had been there as a young adult. All is good and my mother is very happy.

And thank you for your many contributions to Find A Grave.

We're in Alabama looking for the graves you documented as being in East Dora Cemetery. We had no luck finding the head stones. I just wanted to make sure we were at the right cemetery because the sign appears to be different. Is the east Dora cemetery located at the Missionary 2nd Baptist Church? Or is it somewhere else. We are going to be in town for a few days and we will go back and look some more but we need to know we are in the right place. My goodness Alabama is hot.

I just found out that I have the wrong Andrew Campbell. My Great Grandfather was Andrew J. Campbell who was born in 1887 and died in 1964. Surprisingly, he also had a wife named Bessie, but she died in 1912. That was causing a problem with my family tree, because the Bessie Campbell buried in this cemetery died in 1903, while my Grandmother was not born until 1909. This was causing me some confusion, and I am still searching findagrave and family search for AJ Campbell's burial location.
Still, I appreciate your help, but I have the wrong man.

You just saved me a lot of research. My mom is 85 and from Cordova Alabama. We're taking a trip down in a few weeks so she can see some old friends. One thing she wanted to do was to see her father's and brother's grave in the East Dora cemetery (both died in the 30ies). Until I found them on find a grave, she had no idea where they were actually buried. I think I can find the cemetery fairly easily, any info on location within the cemetery would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much for doing this. I've helped out a few folks with finding graves in my small New England town. My email is email@example.com if you have any further information that you think might be helpful.
