Lives are commemorated - deaths are recorded - families are reunited - memories are made tangible - and life is undisguised. This is a cemetery.

Communities accord respect, families bestow reverence, historians seek information and our heritage is thereby enriched.

Testimonies of devotions, pride and remembrance are carved in stone to pay warm tribute to accomplishments and to the life - not death - of a loved one. The cemetery is homeland for family memorials that are a sustaining source of comfort to the living.

A cemetery is a history of people - a personal record of yesterday and a sanctuary of peace and quiet today. A cemetery exists because every life is worth loving and remembering - ALWAYS.

Edits for Plot location in Rose Hill
I sent you an edit for the Atlee's plot location in Rose Hill. please accept it so the person doing photo requests may be able to locate them.Rose Hill is a huge, poorly marked cemetery and without the plot there is no chance for her to find it

RE: John Thomas Minter
That's exactly what I am thinking. I've been trying for years to find the bio father of my great grandfather. From all appearances his mother was an unwed mother which would have ben scandalous back then.

I have made the parental links you requested. I'm sure you found the same things I did during research -he was listed as the stepson of James William Minter on several census reports, several times under the name of John T Smith. SInce Smith was his mother's maiden name, I'm sure there is an interesting story which we will likely never know. Let me know if you find any memorial among mine of which you would like a transfer.
