I love researching my family history and was so happy when I found this website! For several years my research has taken me to multiple states where I took hundreds of photos of my family headstones. I feel great about being able to share them with others. Some of the family names I am researching are...Hogan, St. John, Keeth, Bearden, Andrews, Beck, Teague, Wade and many more.|
I also love to go to local cemeteries and take random photo's to help get a memorial set up for those who may be trying to find a loved one. If you have someone you are looking for in the North Texas area, please let me know where they are buried and their names and I will do my best to get a photo taken for you.
I will be more than happy to transfer management of a memorial to you as long as they are not closely related to me.

|Gordon||Regarding Larry's post below|
He will not transfer my wife's brother's memorial even though I asked per guidelines. It appears some people cannot wait for the next obits so they can immediately gain another number in their total, before a grieving loved one even has a chance to erect a more personal memorial. Is this the intent for which Find A Grave was founded?

Thank you so much for adding the picture of John A. Rowland's tombstone to the Find A Grave website. I appreciate it very much. Kathryn Benson

I am related only very distantly and through marriage. Victor is a descendant of the wife of my paternal grand uncle

Hello Ms Moore,
If I may, I've had some previous dealings with Larry (the preceding commentor) regarding transfers. Larry is of the school of thought that rigid adherence to Find A Grave policy trumps all other considerations. He will under no circumstances transfer memorials outside of the mandated four generations. And utterly forget getting a transfer of merely a friend! So I suppose I shouldn't be shocked that he attempts to persuade others to maintain similar rigidity where policies are concerned. I gladly transfer memorials to folks who claim a relationship with the deceased – and once transferred I don't go back and make an assessment of whether the memorial is in good hands. Magpies like Larry are all about the numbers – and helping family members make connections with their past is of little or no concern to them.
Feel free to delete this post. I've no intent to cause any angst for you. Just saw an opportunity to express my contempt for the likes of Larry and his ilk.
You should not quickly transfer memorials just because someone asks a question. Find A Grave Q & A's makes their recommendation or guideline for transferring.
Thanks for contributing to Find A Grave.

This is a follow up - I found out who the Verna D. on his gravestone was. She is his spouse, apparently still alive - Verna Mae Dodd b. 6 Nov 1937.
I can prepare and post a bio when you transfer the memorial. Just wanted you to know. Thanks.

Thank you for responding, and so quickly. I would be happy to assume Tommy and Verna's Memorial. God Bless you and yours on this Thanksgiving Day 2013.

Tommy is my cousin. His mother, Velma Minnie Sutton Stinson is my aunt, my mother, Norma Lucille Sutton Rowden Morris is Velma's sister.
Do you know who Verna D. b.6 Nov 1937 (on Gravestone) is? I would think, Tommy's wife.
Whether or not you can help, thanks for doing the work you do. I am also a Find A Grave contributor.
Gary G. Rowden, Kilgore, TX
What a nice surprise. I am proud to be in care of the memorial that you so wonderfully created for Norman.
Your work is so valuable, and you helped me find more "family". Blessings, Helen
You are welcome for the photo.
