Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am retired from a multi-national company and I enjoy history. I am a trustee of the Escambia County Historical Society and as such am charged with updating cemetery records for the county and the Alabama Historical Registry.

My interest in Find-A-Grave is purely one of preserving the history of all cemeteries in the coastal region of Alabama and Panhandle Florida for the sole purpose of getting those cemeteries on the historical registry. I am not a genealogist and make no claim to it, nor am I a professional photographer, although I do receive a certain gratification in photographing headstones and updating cemetery records, as well as helping others to locate lost relatives.

I have created a few memorials, but I do not seek numbers. With that in mind, if you see a memorial that was created by me and it holds special interest for you, I will gladly transfer it to your care but I ask that you make allowances and please do not request in bulk.

Memorial Transcriptions
My reason for asking for Memorial Transcriptions is:
1. It avoids duplicates, by including all info on the headstone and gravestone.
2. When the photo is slow to show, then you can see the info even though the photo is not showing after about 3 minutes.
This is especially true on the weekends for photos in Alabama, or during bad weather.
3. It makes it easier to understand update corrections for errors.

Hope you will consider adding the Transcription info, that is the entire info.
Thank you for all you do.

RE: Sardis Cemetery
I am sorry for being so long in replying to your questions. Our family had an emergency situation with my Mom and I have been in Mobile 10 days then when she returned to Monroeville I have been back and forth to Monroeville sometimes twice a day. Thanks for the information but I haven't been able to take the time to look for it. I try to do some of the grave picture requests from time to time and used to go to Greenville and other surrounding areas but have had to curtail my traveling due to Mom's needs. She has always been my sidekick in doing the grave finding but is not able right now
