Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am descended from a family that may have lived in Virginia from the 17th Century onward and in Ohio from early in the 19th to the present. A service like Find A Grave is important to me as a way to see photographs of graves in places that are not at all close to my present home in Maine.

James Watkins Sr.
Doug,
I found your contact info on James' memorial and wanted to notify you of an article that I saved to him. Confirming that James Watkins Sr. born of Isle of Wight in 1746 migrated to Sussex County Virgina then to Ohio with his wife and 8 children. I hope this helps in your family search.
Warmly,
Kimberly Patterson

Enoch Burns
Doug, Thank you for posting the stone of Alcinda Burns. Her maiden name was Phillips and she was born in Virginia. Your calculated relationships are correct. I just had an email from Floyd Simpson who said someone had found Alcinda's and Enoch's grave stones. Did you post Enoch's stone? He was born in 1804 in Virginia and died in 1889. They had a son named Enoch N. Burns who was born in Ohio in 1835 and died in 1870. I have tried locating the Find a Grave site for Enoch. Joanne

I see you took a photo of Thomas Hall at Falmouth Cemetery, but I am unfamiliar with the location. Can you tell me where it is?

Ignatius B. Burns
Hello Doug, I've added a picture of Ignatius B. Burns and Sarah Kinney's stone. I apologize for the poor picture, but it was a very bright morning and I only had 3 hours to take a great many pictures. Ignatius B.Burns was a brother to my great grandfather, Nimrod Burns. To make things crazier, his daughter Jennie married Charles Clifton Bolon whose grandfather, Joseph Garrett Bolon, was a brother to my my 2nd great grandfather, William Bolon. My tree is Midwestern family tree on ancestry.com . I have a picture of Enoch Burns' father and mother's grave(Ignatius and Bethsheba). They were from Loudoun County, Virginia, but I am having a difficult time finding them documented. The same is true of Joseph G Bolon and William Bolon's father. Do you have any information that may help. Joanne

Doug:
I have updated the memorials of William Buxton and
his wife Jane (Chadbourne) Buxton and transferred
them back to you. I appreciate your transfer of the memorials to me but you had them for many years and
took photos of their gravestones. Once again thank you, I appreciate your generosity. Sandy

Lewis Niswander
Hi Doug! I saw your photo request so I jumped on it! I still have another envelope of things to send you, I still run into things at the library about the Zellers and Shifferlys so I copy them for you. Beside Lewis in Truro is the headstone of Charles Fruchey and his wife Jennie C. The headstones are a matched pair, both Lewis and Jennie passed in 1952 so I was wondering if there is a connection? I have a pic of the two stones together if you would like it. There is already a pic of the Fruchey one on Find A
Grave. Also, there was a Paul G. Zeller and his wife Dorothy Ann (Holmes) Zeller. On her plaque reads "parents of Doug, Von, Barb, Deb and Mary Ann". Took these in case there's a connection. Of course, your welcome to them also!
