Hi! Thanks for your interesting note. I can well understand your confusion. You may want to contact the owner of the two memorials and ask if they could add a note to each one, ie: Mark is husband of Abigail...and visa versa. Their name is listed down at the bottom left of the memorial.j Just click on their name and it should bring up their email address.
You are not alone, I've been confused by a few myself. That's why when I add a memorial, I include a note of who the husband/wife is (if known), especially if it's on the same stone or right next to their stone. Another thing I like to do to help other researchers is add the names of all the persons buried on the same plot, if possible.
