Bio and Links
Bio Photo I was born and raised in NYS' beautiful Hudson River Valley; so I grew up surrounded by history.

I was about 8 when I dug up a Revolutionary War era musket ball in our garden and was awed by the stories it could have told. When my father showed me a coin from the mid 1800s he found in his local boyhood schoolyard, I was hooked on history.

My grandmother's sister lived to a lucid 106 years of age and fed my addiction for stories from the olden days.

And now I have become one of those little old ladies I used to make fun of, happily wandering around cemeteries and record halls.

Home for the last 25 years has been Otsego County in Central NYS; a place with an old abandoned cemetery around every corner.
I like nothing more than uncovering an old stone and giving them back their names and histories and families on FAG.

I try to research each person's background carefully, but if you see a mistake, let me know.
And if you see a relative and want a transfer, let me know.

Feel free to use any pictures or information I post for any reason, no need to credit me.

RE: Waterman graves
I think you may be right that Drake Cemetery was originally called Warren Cemetery. I noticed that an Isaac Williams who was a US Congressman is also listed in Warren and managed by Findagrave. He was listed in 2003 and you have him listed in 2014 (I think) in Drake Cemetery.

I am going to change the cemetery on the two Waterman's to Drake. Then if you would like, I will transfer them to you and you can add your info and put the pictures on. I hate to delete mine only because I have so many people linked to them. Waterman's are in my family tree but pretty remote. Or, you can just add your pictures to my listings....whatever you would like. If you want a transfer let me know. Thanks for letting me know!!

Richard Ellwood
I've been researching Richard's descendants for over 20 years, here recently trying to get a book together to publish. In the research, according to a couple of DAR/SAR records it mentions a Catherine. However, Richard Jr married Catherine Bell, so that may be the confusion. I haven't found PROOF of her being named Catherine...A lot of people, especially on ancestry.com lists Richards wife as Rachel Davis, and adding extra children to this family. It's incorrect as Rachel married in Connecticut to her Richard, yes, they named their children with similar names, but it's NOT the wife of the Richard Ellwood who settled in New York. Richard was not the 1st Ellwood to settle in the United States, the 1st one here was in the early 1600's, Richard coming 100 + years later. I'm sure that the family repeatedly used the same names over and over, mostly Richard, Benjamin, Peter, Isaac, John, Mary, Maria, Margaret, Catherine, etc. It's said that the all Ellwood's are descended from Richard Ellwood who came to America in 1748 and settled in New York, but again, that's not correct as there were already Ellwood's living in America.

Hope this helps some. Are you related to Richard? If so, I would love to add you to the book as well! At this moment, I have 13,100+ blood descendants, however, I know I'm missing thousands more.

Christoval Toledano - is he your grandfather?
Hi!
I was just working on my family tree and was looking at my records on Christoval Toledano. I saw that you maintain, but did not originate his records. Just curious, is he your grandfather? He is my 5th great grandfather, on my Faucheux side. Sadly, when I discovered him, his Toledano Manor in Biloxi had already been destroyed by Katrina (technically, by a casino barge!)

Lynnea (Bullock) Dickinson
Incorrect photograph on #121108207

Gabriel Dutcher #121108207
The photograph of Gabriel Dutcher's gravestone on the memorial page #121108207, is not the same Gabriel Dutcher.
