I was born and raised in NYS' beautiful Hudson River Valley; so I grew up surrounded by history.|
I was about 8 when I dug up a Revolutionary War era musket ball in our garden and was awed by the stories it could have told. When my father showed me a coin from the mid 1800s he found in his local boyhood schoolyard, I was hooked on history.
My grandmother's sister lived to a lucid 106 years of age and fed my addiction for stories from the olden days.
And now I have become one of those little old ladies I used to make fun of, happily wandering around cemeteries and record halls.
Home for the last 25 years has been Otsego County in Central NYS; a place with an old abandoned cemetery around every corner.
I like nothing more than uncovering an old stone and giving them back their names and histories and families on FAG.
I try to research each person's background carefully, but if you see a mistake, let me know.
And if you see a relative and want a transfer, let me know.
Feel free to use any pictures or information I post for any reason, no need to credit me.

I do not recall any other person. I provided photos to the information that the original person recorded as people in the cemetery. That person may have the list of actual people buried there. It is a little country cemetery with many decaying and broken stones. I can look more closely when I am int that area in the future. Have a good week.
thank you very much for taking this photo of my husbands relatives grave site. Much appreciated.

I found this marker in the cemetery on a random walk and added it. That's all I have. Sorry. Fred
|Jean||RE: Dr. Anthony Barney|
Oma is the daughter of Omer Lester Barney and Sarah Potter.
Anthony Barney > Darwin E Barney > Omer Lester Barney > Oma Fay Barney.
Oma is my g-grandmother, but I know nothing about her, so I'm hoping to find someone that can provide some information about her.
Thanks for responding!

I see you created the memorial for Dr. Anthony Mason Barney (#74835617). Are you connected to this family? I'm trying to find someone who can give me more information on his descendants, specifically his g-grandchild Oma Fay Barney.

Thank you so much for your work. I was able to find much of my Williamson and related families by your work. I was recently in the Otsego, Herkimer area and tried to find the Cemetery listed as the Methodist Episcopal Church Cem. at Warren, Herkimer Co, NY and was unsuccessful. Although the description says about 1 1/2 miles from Richfield Sprs couldn't do it. Would love to have exact directions so I could locate it next year. I also have a question: Catherine Williamson, Find A Grave #95775360, you have as b. 1799 USA, d. 3 Jul 1828, 27y 4m. I have another record of d, 9 July 1823 ae 29y 4m 29d. which is correct? Still trying to find who she belongs to. My ancestor is Samuel 1764 Somerset Co, NY - aft 1837 Otsego or MI. 1800 Richfield, Otsego, NY. His brothers, Garrett and James are buried in this cemetery along with others of the families. He lived with son Peter in 1820 and 1830 in Richfield, Otsego, NY. This family moved to Calhoun Co, MI about 1838. I thought perhaps Catharine was his daughter.
Appreciating your work and help,
