Bio Photo I enjoy doing Genealogy, and always seaching for any and all relations of our families. I started doing this about 12-14 years ago and have enjoyed every minute of it, meeting new relatives, and visiting many of the cemeteries of East Texas. I joined Find a grave about 7 years ago, and it has been a tremendious help in my family searches.

Margareta Overton - Memorial# 58433268
Bonnie, hello. It looks like you created this memorial back in 2010. Since you have exact dates for birth and death in the memorial, do you know whether there is an actual headstone in this cemetery (Middleburg Cemetery, Hardeman County, TN) for Margareta, containing this information? If not, do you know where you got the information for her birth and death dates?

Also, you have the following note in the memorial: "Wife of E.H. Overton". Again, I assume this information is coming from a headstone. Can you confirm that?

I believe Margareta Overton may be my 3rd great grandmother, and am trying to piece together information to confirm this. Do you happen to have any other information relating to her? Are you one of her descendants by chance?

Thanks in advance for your help!

RE: death certifices
Hi Bonnie, I'm sorry about this confusion. I sometimes post death certificates without looking to see if the manager of the memorial does not allow it. I just don't have any idea of the cemetery or the person's name. I remember working on the Choate family, but looked and didn't see anything, unless I missed it. Maybe you will run across it in the near future and then can send the memorial number. I will continue to look to see if any other names jump out at me.

Find A Grave Memorial# 53474353 at Friendship Cemetery, Smith County, Texas
You have headstone photos for several of my cousins at Friendship Cemetery, Smith County, Texas.
Find A Grave Memorial# 53474353 is for Myrth Angilene "Mertie" Meadows Garner. She was my 5th cousin.
Would it be ok to use your photos on my family tree? I will include (Find A Grave photo & permission by Bonnie) for each photo I use.

Dan Callaway (# 14623043)
Do you reside close to this cemetery to view the stone? In the picture, there is a possibility that the year of death may be 1968 and it appears that there are parenthesis around the name Dan. I would like to find someone who could view the stone and verify this for me and verify there is no other information on the back of the stone as well as who is buried around him. I am trying to determine if this burial may be that of John Thomas Callaway who died in 1968 and was buried in the Union Chapel Cemetery per his death certificate. I am under the assumption based on unconclusive research that John Thomas Callaway may be one in the same person as my uncle "Dan" Callaway. There does not appear to be any other marker in the cemetery for John Thomas Callaway who died in Grand Saline, Van Zandt Co, TX. John's Mother Laura Mae Callaway (# 15473428) has a gravestone in the cemetery identical to that of Dan Callaway. I wondered if they were in the same plot. John's brother Fred Sherman Callaway (# 14623052) is also buried in Union Chapel.

RE: Ira Wm Green - Sand Hill Cemetery
Bonnie: I am sorry as I guess I did not make my request plain. I know they are not your memorials but the photo of tombstone is yours that was placed on his wife's memorial. I just wanted you to place that same photo on his memorial.

Or if you deem it okay, I can copy the photo and place it on his memorial myself.
