 | RE: Honeycutts That's awesome, my grandmother is Nola Fields Melton, but she goes by her middle name Patricia "Pat". She is married to Martin Fields, my mother's name is Misty. | | | Alisa Pappas
 | Honeycutts Hi my name is Alisa and I am the great-granddaughter of Margaret Josephine Honeycutt Melton. I was wondering how we are related. | | | Larry Head
 | RE: Masoners Yes, NEWTON HARVEY MASONER and his wife SARAH OTTINGER are my 3rd Great Grandparents.
My line of descent is through their daughter ELIZA E. MASONER (1840-1921) who married ROBERT TIMMMONS (1831-1907) on 15 Nov 1866 in Green Co., TN.
My connection is then through Robert & Eliza's son CARLUS ARTHUR TIMMONS (1881-1959) who on 09 Feb 1904 in Washington Co., AR married CALLIE MARGARET SHANKS (1883-1966) and they produced my maternal grandfather ALBERT ARTHUR TIMMONS (1906-1985).
Do you too have a connection? | | | Joanne
 | RE: Hassie Heckenlively Hi, I'm not a relative of Hassie's. I live near Floral Haven Cemetery and I take pictures of graves whenever I go there and put them on F-A-G. I do most of my research in Indiana, Ohio, and Missouri. I forgot Texas and Oklahoma too. There is a Sarah Heckenlively on F-A-G listed in Putnam Co., Ind. is she any relation to you? I will be happy to transfer Hassie to you as soon as I figure out how to do that. I have never transfered a memorial yet. I'll read up on it and then transfer it. My computer is down right now and I am trying to use my son's computer at the moment and its so different from mine, but I'll get it done. | Melton's OK, I found Marion C and I also filled the request for Lizzie Melton. Both were at the far back of the old part of the cemetery. Haven't found Robt. yet.

 | Marion Melton Photo Hey Peggy,
You're gonna get a message saying that I photographed Marion Melton but there's no photo there. I made a boo-boo and took Marion S instead of Marion C. Sorry about that. I resubmitted the request, which I'll probably fill the next time I'm down there (probably next week some time.)

 | Margaret Emmaline Masoner Nease Cogburn I found an interesting newspaper reference to Margaret Emmaline Masoner Nease Cogburn even though she is not mentioned by name. If you want me to scan it and e-mail you, please contact me at my e-mail address. I will mention that no matter how hard I tried the article did not copy very well from microfilm. The article is from The Lawton Constitution, Tuesday, Aug. 18, 1925, p. 1:
"Woman 91 Years Old Unites with Church" Records continue to be made in the Bethel Church revival last night with nine new conversions being secured among whom was the mother of G. W. Nease, aged 91 years. She is the oldest one to be converted during the meeting. Mr. Nease's mother is a great-great grandmother. There is a difference of 82 years in the ages of the converts, it was announced today with the oldest being 91 years and the youngest being 9 years old. Everyone in the neighborhood of the church is greatly enthused over the results of the meeting with more interest being displayed in the revival than in any other of its kind ever held in that section of the country. Tonight will be the last night of the revival services. | | | a car
 | RE: Mary Ellen Renner Hi, I'm sorry it has taken so long to answer your request, I have been having some technical problems with my computer. Thanks for the information. Amy CarrAdded by a car on Jun 27, 2010 9:32 AM | | | J. C. Hooper
 | Leo Nease, Comanche Co, OK Leo Nease was the son of Homer Franklin Nease and Diamond (Ball) Nease, both buried at Letitia Cemetery. Leo passed away this summer. His obituary was added to Find a Grave, and he probably doesn't have a grave. In fact, there's no grave marker at Letitia Cemetery, the family's cemetery. If you want to read Leo's obituary, just do a search at Find a Grave, and it should appear. My grandmother taught at Tomlinson Junior High in Lawton with Leo, and he often came when the TJHS retired teachers met once a lunch during the school year. Just thought you'd like to know about another Nease descendant. | | | | [View all messages...] |
