I live in Cheatham County, Tennessee just outside of Nashville. I started getting interested in ancestry and doing the research on my relatives as well as my wife's family. Most of her family is local and fairly easy to research. I was born in Memphis. My Dad was born there also, but Mom was born in Parsons. Finding graves of ancesters is a challenge and Find A Grave has made it easier to do research on some people I could not find. |
I have taken an interest in the local cemeteries and trying to get as many added to the list that I can. If you see someone that I manage that is a relative of yours and would like me to transfer the memorial, please let me know. Now if the person is a relative of mine, I may or may not transfer, but will consider.
I heard a quote one time that Family and Friends only die at the point we forget them. May we never get to that point where our Family and Friends really die.

Thank you for taking your time to find and take the picture of Bonnie's headstone! I appreciate that you have done this.
|Mary Jo Zettle||Roseanne Poole James Grave|
I have posted a picture of Rosanne Pooles cemetery plot. I was told of the location many years ago while researching the James side of the family. I was told she had no head stone just a small plate that said Mother. It is located not that far from Herbert M. James grave. Just for your info. I would love to find out who has the index to this cemetery. I would love to find Roseanna's Husband John Andrew James grave. I only assume he would be there as well. This family was a very poor share croppers family. They share cropped for Doctor Macon. Hence Herbert Middle name. I am related to Frank James the second to last son of Rosanne and John James.

James Andrew Nelson is buried in the Lone Oak Cemetery. His obituary said Black Cemetery but he is in the Lone Oak Cemetery.

May I have permission to use your photo on my page at Ancestry. Levi and his wives were my 1st cousins 6x removed. I am researching the Traughber/Trobaugh line.

There are two memorials for him, in two different cemeteries, both created the same day. Yours, #115211297 has him buried in the "Black" Cemetery, and includes his obit. The other, #115212432, created by Gayle Black, has him buried in the "Lone Oak" Cemetery, and includes personal photos.
