My name is Patricia, but mostly called Pat. I have four adult children, a boy and three girls. I also have 7 grandchildren, 4 boys and 3 girls. I have sort of dabbled in genealogy off and on for years, never really as seriously as some people, but have tried to get a little background of our family together just in case any of the grandchildren would be interested in their heritage one of these days.|
I have always enjoyed taking pictures and have taken pictures for years of grave sites of my family and friends, so Find A Grave is right down my alley. I hope that I will be able to make some contribution that will be of some help to others. If you would like a copy of any pictures that I take, you have my permission to use them.
I live in South Central Tennessee and post mostly to the cemeteries in this area and some in North Central Alabama. I usually get my information from the Funeral Home obits, and some from the newspaper obits, so the information that is entered is all that I have. I also try to make trips to the local cemeteries to take gravestone pictures as often as possible.
I am not related to most of the sites that I am listing. If you find a member of your family among my listings and would like to assume the listing so you can enter more personal information about your loved one, please inform me. If you would like for me to add additional information, such as a correction of a date, or a link to a spouse or parent, or any other addition or correction, please let me know. For any transfers, please let me know your relationship. Also, you could consider setting up a virtual cemetery to include all of your relatives in one place regardless of their actual location.
To request a transfer, addition, or correction please go to the "Edit" tab on the memorial page. If you are a member of "Find A Grave", be sure that you are signed in to your account. Then go to "Suggest a Correction". You can write your request to me there under "suggest any other correction or addition". This will give me a direct link to the memorial that you are referring to. For any transfers, please let me know your relationship. Please allow sufficient time for me to respond, as I am not on the computer 24/7.

I had a page for Delois Potts Hay (#127791923) and, as you can guess, it's on the same lady. I didn't find out about my mistake till after I put in the info. So if you want to copy any of the info I have for her, go ahead. Just let me know if you don't or after you're done copying so I can delete mine.

I came across this in today's Columbia Daily Herald about Pvt Andrew F Harris, who I think is this guy. I don't know if you want to add it to the bio or not:
Herald of Yesteryear: Nov. 26, 1944
INFAMOUS TANK OUTFIT IN ITALY
Private Andrew F. Harris, son of Mrs. Pearl J. Harris, of Route 6, Columbia, Tenn., is tank gunner in the famous First Tank Battalion, currently fighting as part of Lieutenant General Mark W. Clark’s Fifth Army in Northern Italy.
One of the tank battalions of the First Armored Division, the First has 61 battle streamers dating from the year 1833 when its parent organization, the First U.S. Cavalry Regiment, was fighting in the Indian Wars, and extending through 111 years to the battle of Arno River in Italy when the unit was relieved.
After participating in the African invitation of 1943 and fighting through Algeria, the First Tank Battalion was shipped to Tunisia where it was the first American armor under American command to engage the Germans in this war.
Elements of the unit raided a large German airport at Djedeida, east of Tunis, catching the Krauts flatfooted and destroying more than 40 planes on the field.
|Ron Johnson||Johnson Chapel Cemetery|
Because the original Johnson Chapel Cemetery in Maury County, with 177 interments (http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=cr&CRid=2145141), had an incorrect map location, I started another. Now I realize that I should not have done so.
Repeated requests to combine the two cemeteries have resulted in no action.
So I am taking this recourse: I am asking that you transfer all of your memorial pages to the other, more correctly located Johnson Chapel Cemetery with 150 interments (http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=cr&CRid=14097).
Hopefully, after that, the incorrectly placed cemetery can be removed.

Hi Pat, I needed a break. Taking care of getting rid of 50,000 memorials takes a bit. Thanks for the tip.
