Bio and Links
Bio Photo I was born in Riverside, Burlington County New Jersey and spent much of my first ten years there. My father died in WWII having never seen me. My step-father was in the Navy so we spent a lot of time traveling around. I graduated from high school at the Naval Base in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, joined the Navy in 1961, came out to California in 1963 and have been here ever since. I have been married twice, have three children and eleven grandchildren. My second wife Sandy and I have known each other since we were five years old and have been married since 2006. I have been doing my family genealogy since 2010 and a member of Find A Grave for over four years now.

I am interested in families in the Philadelphia and Burlington County, NJ areas with last names of Freck/Frech (originally from Germany mid 1800s), Broderson/Brodersen (Denmark), Stecher (originally from Germany mid 1800s) and Hirst, originally from England. Hirst were prominent in the cigar business in Philadelphia. Additionally, I am working on my wife's family, Wetherell and Goodwin in New Hampshire.

If you see a picture of a gravestone I have taken and want to use it, by all means copy it and use as needed. If you see a family members memorial that I have created and you would like to manage it, just ask.

RE: Alvin Morehead
I was not offended but I just type the obits from the local newspaper with the permission from the editor. I think that it should be put up like it is in the newspaper and put a note that the obit is wrong in reference to the parents.

Please be aware of Ancestry trees. I have subscribed to it for years and I've found lots of mistakes. Checking the census records would be the best source for researching this issue.

Instead of changing the obit I would appreciate it if you would note that the obit is wrong and put the correct info under it. I can only type what is in the newspaper.

Frederick Ferdinand Weed
Fred was originally buried in 498-2. The family bought 4 plots (1-4) and buried him there in 1913.
According to cemetery books his wife Eva Gaddie Weed was given the deeds to those plots. Then Eva remarried sometime before 1938. Eva's mother died in 1938. Sometime after her death the Weed, Schultz and Gaddie crypt was built. Mother Lucinda Gaddie was interned here in 1086 - 4. Fred was moved from 498-2 in 1940 and re interned in 1086-3. Eva's 2nd husband William John Schultz died in 1945 and was interned in 1086-5. When Eva died in 1946she was interned in 1086-2.
Jose told me that he would check the plate on Fred's crypt for his death date.
This all came to lite when I was contacted by a Confederate veterans group in Missouri who wanted to place a marker on his unmarked grave. They wanted to know if there were any living relatives.
Fred had 2 children, 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. So there is a possibility
that someone is still living.

RE: Otis Taylor
I really hope you found the grave of an unfortunate murder victim. You wouldn't believe how hard it is to locate the graves of murder victims, no matter how much research I do.

Hi Dean,

I was wondering if you could transfer Benito Alvarez #116232664 he is my great-grandfather, he was born in 1881 in Mexico and he died a month after my grandfather was born, Maurice Alvarez #131149364, and Benito's wife was Josefa Verdugo Alvarez #120489276. If they can all be put together. You are such a wonderful person for all that you do.

Thank you,

RE: Memorial# 117942089
I know they don't, and I did't think about that when I set those little ones up. So I fixed it so that the 6 I put up all have surname of Unknown. Which is sad. Three more are being buried on Jan 17, 2015. Which I put a link to on my profile page. I did actually SEE the stone for Gabriel and the other two. SOOOO cute.

It took me a bit to figure out what you were referring to. I thought at first when I was reading about all those little ones that I had missed a surname somewhere. I did change their surnames to now say unknown. Instead of just Baby David etc.
