Photos replaced
Hi Taneya,
Several years ago, you helped me by posting photos that I took of my family members' graves in Carpenter's Campground Cemetery and posted the list of those names/photos on the Blount Co webpage.
I now see that several people have decided that my photos were not good enough and have added their own above/in addition to mine or, in one case, (#5772304) replaced the photo I took and you added entirely---labeling it a "duplicate." (It was the original---not a duplicate.)
Needless to say, I am hurt and angered by such rude behavior. Is there anything that we can do to stop this from happening?
Sincerely,
Patricia Taylor

Samuel Gover headstone
If you get a chance could you help me get some information off of a headstone? You took a photo of a headstone at Oak Hill Cemetery for Samuel Gover (7088872). It looks like the slab in front of the military stone says "... in the __ year of his age", which would give me an indication of how old he was, but I can't read it off the photo. I really appreciate your help!

Baker's Creek Cemetery
Thanks for the transfers of the McCollums in Baker's Creek Cemetery. Do you know if there is a contact phone # for the cemetery? Also, do you know anything about the Brown Cemetery there in Blount County that I mentioned in my message? Thanks!

RE: added Charle's wife
Thanks, Taneya. I go to Glenwood cemetery most Saturday mornings to fulfill requests from Findagrave. The office has records of most of the burials, so I was able to find the location pretty easily. I'd be happy to add the picture also to his wife's memorial. Would you do me the favor of putting out a request for it? That way when I post the picture I get credit for it. :-) Thanks!
Ron

Joseph Motley Morehead
Thank you very much for the additional information about Joseph. I've typed out the obituary, and managed to link him to his parents.

The old newspaper articles are really interesting. I hope it's OK for anyone to use those. I could sit all day and read them!!
