Bio and Links
Bio Photo I was born in Montgomery County Virginia and have live here all my life.

I enjoy looking for my ancestors and also enjoy helping other find theirs. I also believe that no one should pay for information on their Ancestors.

At this time I am researching the Dudley, Eanes, Hamm, Hall, Lutz, Testerman, Birchfield, and Bingham Families.

If I have posted and you noticed a mistake please let me know and I will correct the mistake as soon as possible.

If you have added information for a person whose record I've created, please feel free to e-mail me, I will be happy to make any appropriate changes.

If a fmaily member of any memorial that I have place would like to take over the ownership of that memorial, please contact me I will be happy to transfer this to you, if this person is not one of my family members.

I am a photo volunteer but I can not do photo in Floyd Co. This is out of my way and I do not know that area.

RE: Sowers
Thank you so much, Brenda. I would really appreciate receiving the Sowers pictures.
My grandmother's family are Bower. Would it be possible to send pictures of them if there aren't too many for you to do from the St. Matthews Cemetery?
Also, I have found a small cemetery called Bower Cemetery on Dobbins Rd. listed through Findagrave. Are you familiar with it? It is possible they may be related to my grandmother. Lewis Bower and Nancy Bowman are listed & could be her grandparents.
There are so many Sowers in Montgomery County listed in various cemeteries. I try to research the names that are the same as many of the Sower siblings. Thank you, again, for all your assistance.

RE: Sowers family of Beatice Eanes
Sowers:Beatrice was my aunt. She was one of five female siblings of David Cenior Sowers and Magdalene Lenora Bower. I have been doing the research and viewing public family trees which shows David Gideon as father and David (S.?) Sowers as grandfather.
Gr. grandfather listed as George Sowers married to either Anna Epperly or Elizabeth Spangler? I don't know which name is correct.Or birth date of George Sowers? Is his father Williams Sowers? There are two names for William's father Johan P.H. or ? Do you have any records on these?
Bower: Mag. Lenora Bower's father was Thomas F. Bower and Martha Ann Williams (mother). Any idea who Lenora's grandparents were?
There are 4+ cemeteries with Sowers. You have documented for Sunset. We have relatives at St.Matthews in Riner/Floyd area with Sowers families listed. Some with very old gravestones (located in a rural area). Zion Lutheran in Christianburg has a listing of Sowers but are we related??(I don't know the location). Roselawn has the least. Any information you could provide from your records would be helpful. Thank you. Carol

Sowers family of Beatice Eanes
Hi Brenda,
I am researching gggrandfather of Beatrice Eanes. It would be helpful to have as many generations as possible. Her father's name was Sowers and grandmother's name was Bowers. Thank you Carol

Flanagan Graves
Thank you for photographing and posting the grave sites of various Flanagan relatives. It meant a great deal to me and my family to come upon them during my search. You are providing a valuable service to people like me with roots in VA but who now live in other parts of the country. Just wanted you to know how much your efforts are appreciated! Many thanks!

RE: Akers Cemetery-Riner
I have been to Mt. Pleasant many times and have dug up and added some stones that weren't documented. I will be going back and will look for his stone there as well as the others
