|Currently I am working with the Dunklin County Genealogy Society to transcribe the cemeteries in Dunklin Co.|
Anyone who wants ownship of the photo entry can contact me and I will be glad to transfer the ownship to them.
When you request a photo of a grave, please give as much info as you can. Sometimes when a cemetery is large it is time consuming and almost impossible to locate. Please keep in mind that many of these markers are old and time worn. They are hard to read. I am trying to find as much info as possible by searching thru the cemetery records of the Dunklin Co. Genealogy Society, the on-line death records held by the Secretary of State, and maybe obits. If you see a mistake, please let me know.
We have finished photographing all the markers in Marsh-Hazel cemetery except large one which is face down on ground. Hope to get someone to help either upright it or turn over to see info without doing any damage.
Sacred Heart Cemetery has been photographed as well.
Please keep in mind that many of these markers are old and time worn or damaged. Many times we have had to research and make best guess decisions about the info. If you have additional info that would help clarify, please let us know.
We have finish with Oak Ridge Cemetery on recording name's and picture of markers.
We started in 2009 and finish July 2011, so there may be markers not recorded. We divided cemetery into seven sections. The roads divide the sections with sect. 1 on north side & sect 7 on the south side.
If memorial has been entered by someone other than me and you want to know location, have someone to look at names on either side of marker then go to Findagrave and look at plot location.

Do you know if there are any plot cards or records for Lloyds Cemetery in Holcomb?
My Family is buried there and I would love to have more information about that cemetery. There are many unmarked graves and graves back in the bushes that are unidentified.

|Melinda||Noah Edgar Yancy|
Noah Edgar Yancy Find A Grave 67535948 You list his wife as Dorothy L Yancy 1926-1989 You List his son as Noah Eugene Yancy 1926 - 2007 Since mother and son can not be born the same year, I would appreciate a correction. Noah Edgar Yancy's wife is Nora Pearl Holloway/Halloway. Dorothy Louise VanDyke is the wife of his son Noah Eugene Yancy. I can truly understand how this happens as the names are simular and Noah Eugene Yancy has a Jr. after his name. It was done in error on the birth cert and they just left it that way. Noah Eugene Yancy and his wife Dorothy Louise Yancy had my sister-in-law amoung others and her name is also Dorothy Louise Yancy now Lynn. Dorothy Louise VanDyke Yancy her mother is buried in Arkansas as they lived in Grapevine Arkansas at the time of her death. Noah Eugene is buried in Michigan as he came to live with my sister-in-law when he became ill. He is Buried at Flint Park Memorial Cemetery, Genesee County, MI and not with her as he expected to be.

|Phil Colling||Thomas Johnson Colling|
Thomas Johnson Colling is my great grandfather. He owned the jewelry store in Kennett on the old town square and my grandfather took over the store. That is very interesting to find his grave. I am hoping that you might have some information on the gravesite of my grandfather, Thomas Johnson Colling Jr.
|Cathy Morgan||Oakridge Cemetery|
I want to thank you so much for all your work photographing the monuments at Oakridge. As a tourist, I visited that cemetery in the evening and it grew dark before I could make it half way through. You have answered my prayers to find all those I missed!
Find A Grave: 51664221 is my dad's grandmother and I am updating the information for him. The name on her headstone is her nickname, not her real name. And also, I'd like to add all of her birth and death dates and spousal information.
My dad's mother, Verna M. Saylors was Cordelia "Delia" daughter, my father, William L. Webb was Verna's son.
Could you please transfer this memorial to me? Thank you.

Thanks for all the family links and other edits. I appreciate all your efforts. We moved away from Kennett when I was a kid, I never knew how much family was in the Bootheel. Thanks again.
