RE: Jacob P. Phillips
My Genealogy is listed under PHILLIPS OF WEST VIRGINIA. If you type in James Clayton Phillips born in Randolph County, West Virginia. You will see it.

RE: Jacob P. Phillips
I'm glad you shared that information with me.
I have my genealogy posted on
I had Mahala Malinda married to Solomon Kalar. I did not know what her last name was, and I did not know who her father was, but now I do.

I am a descendant of Benjamin Phillips (Isaac's half brother) by Thomas 2nd wife Susannah Kittle by direct lineage.

I am also a descendant of Isaac Phillips, Jacob P. Phillips and 2nd wife Catherine Bastaine Johnson, Robert J. Phillips, Malinda Jane Phillips who married Perry James Phillips.

Perry James Phillips was a descendant of Benjamin Phillips.

Reunion for Henry Co. F-A-G volunteers
Hi KIM: I will be in Missouri end of March early April. I wrote Linda Everhart (Henry Co. website coordinator), asking her opinion about having a get together of Find-a-grave contributors so we could put faces to our "handles", and talk about issues, ideas we might have re our Henry County cemetery work.
She immediately offered her home, AND a buffet luncheon to kick it off. The lady never ceases to amaze me. We are aiming for April 4 (Sat), which is in the middle of Easter weekend.
I am hoping there will be a good turnout, I feel so many of you are "friends" that I would love to meet in person.

Spread the word... While emphasis is Henry County cemeteries, many contributors in adjoining counties interact with memorial managers in Henry County and hopefully will be interested in attending this event.

Linda posted the following on the Henry Co. facebook page. You can either log on and respond, or email me if you aren't a facebooker

Photo usage
I am working on updating the database for the Englewood Cemetery in Clinton, MO. I have created GIS maps for the cemetery, blocks and lots. I have also created a website at to display the maps and for burial searches. Could I get your permission to use the photos you have posted on for burials at Englewood Cemetery?

Kim, what a happy surprise to open the "mail" and find all these transfers to me. Be assured I will take good care of them. I noted you had already entered the information I sent you, which makes it especially thoughtful on your part. THANK YOU.

RE: Royal Allen Straight
Kim, would you happen to have a digital copy of Rena Whitlow Gilberts publication on the Straights you could share, or direct me to where there is a copy? I would be interested in one. Thanks.

RE: Royal Allen Straight
Thank you so much, Kim. That clears up the middle name mystery. I know of Rena and her family.

Royal Allen Straight
Kim, please list the source of the given and middle names of Royal Allen. The tombstone says R.A.; I have not to date located any other documentation that assigns a name to this tombstone. Thank you.

The reason George was buried in the Waco cemetery, instead of St. John's, is that George died by his own hand. He was buried in an unmarked grave until a couple of years ago when a memorial was put up. A descendant of George.
