|I am a descendant of Freeman Van Dyke from Dandridge, TN and his son Richard Wilson Van Dyke, Sr. from Jackson County, Missouri on my father's side. Some of Richard's children lived in the Meadville, and Buckner,MO areas and Richard Jr. went to Iowa. On my mother's side I am descended from Nathaniel Duncan who migrated from Kentucky to Boone County Missouri in 1827. I am descended from his son Thomas Garland Duncan who moved to the Meadville, MO area around 1850. I grew up in Marceline, MO.|

If it is too much bother, forget it. The idea I had was for you to move your pic of the gravestone to the top of the two pics. I thought that would be better. Thanks for your note.
Thanks so much for taking ans posting Max and Carol Gossick's stone. Really appreciate it.

Julian R Layman was born Aug. 26, 1893 and died Nov 12, 1918. He was shot and killed in the Argonne Forest in WWI because the word had not gotten around to the German troops yet that the war was over.
As far as I can see, memorials ending in 61 and 62 are for the same person.
His parents are Emma Nordwall Lahman #37740259
Josiah Layman #37740258
Betty Gompf Nordwall #47526973
Thanks so much - now I can go over the list to see if I can make any connections. I copied it and sent myself an email with all of your names.
I have quite a few Railroad men in my family.

Hi Larry - I would love to have your list of Wingates. Who is the other you found at Haseville?
I am still trying to research Amanda, and have not found too many clues to her life.
I read about Marceline, MO and it sounds lovely. Of course I discovered the Disney connection.
I see that there are some of the Gooch family at Haseville Cemetery and that you have been there. :)

This is my great-great grandfather, whose grave-site is in Linn County. I am still looking for his wife Amanda, who would be my great-great grandmother.
Thank you for all of your hard work on the Gooch cemetery. I have read that Rick Thurlo, mentioned in the article, has done the same at one of the Missouri cemeteries.
