Bio and Links
Bio Photo Charles Finnell (1762-1842) is buried outside the village of Mount Airy in Randolph County, Missouri. Born in Orange County, Virginia, he served as a teenager in Washington's army and was present at the British surrender at Yorktown. Later, as a Baptist preacher, he helped found churches in both Kentucky and Missouri.

I am one of Charles Finnell's many descendants.

Please contact me if you'd like to swap info or to correct biographies I may have gotten wrong.

I will happily transfer ownership of memorials of folks I'm not closely related to. Let me know.

Cheers!

Hi. I'm writing a "descendancy" of John Banta (1805-1864) and have traced his descendants to you through his daughter malinda, her son Winfield Scott Myers, his daughter Emma Myers Grindle, and her daughter Dorothy Grindle who married Forrest Raymond Finnell. I am missing in my quest the date of marriage for Forrest and Dorothy. Do you happen to have this?

Will share the detailed genealogy with you is you contact me at davidpauldavenport@yahoo.com.

You should also contact Shar R, a findagrave contributor, who is also a descendant of Winfield Myers.

RE: Maude and James Vance
Thanks, David..and by searching Henry Wise (father of Maude) you will be able to track her back to Andreas Weis, the immigrant. My husband is Jay Frank Wise, gr/son of Harvey who was the brother of Henry. Maude is in good hands and thank you.
