RE: William Luther Waddell
Related through marriages. The Bradway family specifically. Docus Bradway married James Madison Waddell. James is a brother to William Luther. Dorcus' brother William LaFuze Bradway is/was my GG Grandfather. One of his daughters, Minnie Ola Bradway married William H Baird (my G Grandfather) they had on child, my Grandfather Mont Kersey Baird. My mother's name is Joan Baird Luchtman. My name is John Baird Luchtman.

I can not find the source right now but I just saw a reference on Ancestry this morning. I believe I got the information while at the Liberty, Indiana library last summer from Indianapolis when I was researching the 36th Indiana Inf. (which William Luther joined at the age of 18 in 1860.

Not sure if you know William's parents. Sanford and Polly (Holland). This part of the extended family has been an interest for about a year.

RE: Elizabeth Brannon
From the 1850 census, it appears he may have married a second time to an ELizabeth who was born ca 1790 and in NC. Elizabeth Brannon was born in Allegheny CO, PA in 1787.

RE: Elizabeth Brannon
Theron, now that's interesting. My understanding was that she never got to MO. That she died shortly after the birth of Robert on their way through Ohio. I got that information from a descendant. Wonder if her married again or if the descendant was wrong. let me check the DAR file for her and see what they say and I'll get back to you.
