Lives are commemorated, deaths are recorded, families are reunited,
Memories are made tangible, and love is undisguised; This is a Cemetery.
Communities accord respect, families bestow reverence, Historians seek information and our heritage is thereby enriched.
Testimonies of devotion, pride and remembrance are cast in bronze to pay warm tribute to accomplishments and life, not the death of a loved one, The Cemetery is homeland for memorials
that are a sustaining source of comfort to the living.
A Cemetery is a history of people
A perpetual record of yesterday and a sanctuary of peace and quiet today.
A Cemetery exists because every life is worth loving and remembering - always.....

Theron, my name is Phyllis Curry, married to Pat Curry who descends from Anna Tunnell on his mothers side. I have some photos that I have always thought were Tunnells. I tried your email but it didn't work. Would like to send these to you to see if you could identify these photos. Its been about 15 years since I have been into genealogy,I came across the Find A Grave and have already found some graves. Getting pulled back in. LOL
|Linda Berry ||Please transfer|
Please transfer Alta M Berry, 40731791, to me. This is my grandmother. I've linked her sons to her page. It won't let me add her Maiden name, Pullen. Thanks for the transfer of my uncle Toy Hunter Berry.
|Debbie Hilliard||Galena Cemetery|
Thank you so much for the pictures and info. Catherine Self is my 4th great grandmother and buried in Galena Cemetery. I don't know how you got these pictures but am grateful. I have looked many times for this cemetery and even stopped and talked to an old-timer who was sitting on his porch (on FM 1995) and he told me that what remains of it was on private property. My sister and I have traveled all those roads many times looking for all the old homesteads & visiting Marvin's Chapel Cemetery. I take pictures for Find A Grave as well when time permits and know the effort it takes to contribute. Your work is much appreciated.
Theron, check your memorials, I've added several gravestone pictures for Campground Cemetery

I have located one more Tunnell gravesite at this cenetery. This is the only other Tunnell in their records: Thelma V Tunnell B 1900 D 1987.
I have posted a photo of her gravesite.
|Rita Goss||Tunnell Graves at Jefferson Memorial Gardens|
I checked Find A Grave for other Tunnell's buried at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East but found only this one listed. May I suggest that you contact the Jefferson Memorial Gardens East at 205-322-0543 to see if they show any other Tunnell's buried there. There could be more persons by this name buried there but just not added to Find A Grave data base. Please let me know if you would like for me to add them to Find A Grave. When you call them please get the name of the garden and plot and space number and I'll be happy to take photos. There are more then 21 gardens at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East (this cemetery is huge!)so it would be impossible to locate their grave sites without exact location information.
I look forward to hearing back from you.
|Marvin & Samme Templin||RE: Darcus Gentry|
