I have been climbing around|
on my Family Tree, swinging
on it's branches, and digging
at it's roots for over
30 years, (since 1975).
I have been widowed since 1991, retired in 2005.
I LOVE Find-A-Grave. It is a wonderful
asset to the genealogy world.
If I've created a record that someone
needs to correct, update or add
information, please let me know and
I'll be glad to add your information
for you;... or if the person is your
direct family member, and you would
like to have me transfer "ownership"
of that memorial page to you, please
let me know...If that person is not
related to me and they are directly
related to you; I will be glad to
transfer their memorial to you.
However, I want to note:
Nearly all of the memorials that I
have created are connected to my
family tree and are a result of a
lot of years hard work and research.
To all the members who have been
kind enough to transfer "ownership"
of my family members to me....
I THANK YOU!
Find A Grave is one of my favorite
It has given me a place that I can
remember my loved ones and honor
If you have time, please leave a flower
for my dear husband, Roy E. Hughes.
I just lost my Daddy & Momma
within 3 weeks. Please be patient,
I am way behind in answering request.
PLEASE do not post death certificates

I have enjoyed Find A Grave
for years...but Lanie discovered
the edit feature a few months ago..
I am no longer able to work
on my family tree, because I receive
about 90 edits per day from Lanie.
As anyone who works their edits
knows..you must check each edit or
it is double work later. 75% of the
edits sent by Lanie are taken from

I do care that there are multiple memorials for the same person. When multiple memorials no longer exist, then I will remove the picture.

The purpose of the picture is not to identify yours as THE "duplicate." The purpose is to let everyone know that there are multiple memorials for this person, should someone find the other memorial as well. Find A Grave can be confusing enough. Perhaps you can collaborate with the creator of the other memorial and consolidate your information.

|David Stearns||RE: transfer request|
Thank you Loretta for the transfer of Reuben Garnett. Sorry my Find A Grave number wasn't on the request. I thought I requested through the normal edit/correction channel but I think this was my second request and I probably forgot to do it the proper way. At any rate, thank you very much for being so gracious and I'm sorry if I caused any inconvenience at your end.
|Cheryl Harrison||RE: James Burrell Bass|
Thank you for response. Where can I request photos of headstones for James Burrell Bass (father and son)? Are headstones still standing in Bass Cemetery? C. Harrison
|Cheryl Harrison||James Burrell Bass|
Thank you for posting information about James Burrell Bass on Find A Grave. Is there a tombstone for him? I need to confirm his death date of Aug. 23, 1831. He is my ggggggrandfather. Thank you in advance for responding.

Hi LoRetta: Thank you for the edit on my uncle Jonas. I forgot to tell you that on the original above-ground, concrete vault his name was listed only as "Jonas Miller", so not much enlightenment there. That vault dated to his death in 1930, and in the 70's or early 80's it cracked, so my father had a new one built, and I assume he repeated the original inscription. It's a funny story, but contact me directly if you would like to hear it.
Kind regards, and thanks for all your work,

It seems that Christina's maiden name was Teem, not House. I have been working on Family Tree Research and came across a DNA test that confirmed this. Her parents are actually also buried at St Johns - Jacob Teem #21808137 and Susanna Roos(Rose) Teem #21808229. The last name is German and there is material claiming the last name could be spelled either Teem or Diehm, but Teem was used at their burials. She is my 5th Great grandmother and I appreciate all the work you put into Find A Grave.

FG Admin merged Hartsell Family Cemetery with Coryell Valley Cemetery, so he is in the correct place with his parents. Sent you a auto "edit" to link them to him. Thanks!!

Do you have a personal connection to Mary Adeline (Watts) Almond Find A Grave Memorial# 33289043? I'm trying to make sense of some differing census records. Thank you in advance.
Hi, Loretta. Thank you for adding Emelia "Emily" Harris Carnahan to this site. Are you a relative? She would have been my 2nd Gr Grandmother. I have looked for her place of burial for a long time. I thought her maiden name was Harris, but didn't know for sure. Her daughter Emillie was my Gr Grandmother. According to census records her name was actually Millie Amelia and her older sister was Mary Emma (buried at Hight Chapel Cemetery - stone lists her as Emma Lamon. Thanks again. I notice someone who added a note listed a different mother for Emelia??? Do you know which it was? Thanks Linda
