|I have been researching family genealogy since 1985 when my Mom and her cousin planned the first Allen Reunion in over 40 years. I am searching the Reece, Cobb, Durrett, Osborn, Pinkerton, Faires, and Vaughn families on my Dad's side of the family. I am also searching the Allen, Gregg, and Page lines on my Mom's side of the family.|

I've been told my grandmother, Cassandra (cassie) Faires is buried in Savannah Mo. As yet I've not found her grave. Do you have any info on Cassandra, wife of John Faires Athens Co Ohio?

Regarding Nora Cobb, Find A Grave Memorial# 73630570. I believe her correct maiden name was Nora Euphemia Burlingame, daughter of Henry Calvin Burlingame and Laura Jane Bryant. Her first husband was George Amon Tracy, second husband Bert Emmerson Cobb.
(a great-grandson of George Amon and Nora Euphemia Tracy)

|Jeanne Keatinge||Addendum to previous message|
I too am related to Vaughns and have a Gregg connection to a Timothy Gregg in St. Louis who had daughters Nora and Mary and a wife also named Mary. This was in the 1860's in TN. Our Vaughn connection is a Benjamin Vaughn, also in that and other areas.

Since you had information on this soldier who was in a cemetery far from your home I wonder if you might be related to him. I am a volunteer looking for photos of soldiers from Santa Barbara County, CA. David is one of those who has no photo, and I'm sure that if you had one you would have posted it. I am hoping that maybe you know of a family member or friend that might have connections to this family so that we can put a face with his name on the virtual wall of the VVMF.
