Most of the memorials I manage are in Rest-Haven Memorial Park. The cemetery has about 17,000 graves with just over 14,560 of them on Find-A-Grave. Rest-Haven has a mausoleum in addition to the cemetery. This cemetery has no upright gravestones, only flat ground level grave marker. The cemetery does not require that a grave be marked, so many graves have no markers.|
I will be happy to make additions or corrections to the memorials I manage. If you have a correction, extra information or want a transfer please use the EDIT TAB on that individual's memorial. PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE A "Public Message" WHEN ASKING FOR EDITS OR TRANSFERS.
I enjoy genealogical research and spend time enhancing memorials as time permits. My primary task is adding new memorials to help people find their family and friends.

I have a copy now.
Thank you very much.
|Retired Traveler||Koffler obit|
Thank you very much for posting Clemens Koffler obit.
|Laura Sireci Roman||Minney Memorials|
Please let me know if you would like for me to transfer the Minney family memorials to you. I have no affiliation to them. I just added them to the site after going out to the graveyard. I plan on going back out soon to get more pics of a bunch of different gravesites in that cemetery so I will see if I can get some photos as well.

Theresa is my Great Grandfather's half sister. I didn't know her and my Great Grandpa Irving Russell a.k.a. Jack) passed away well before I was born but that is how I came to have the picture. It was in a box of photos my Grandfather received when his mother Gladys who was Irving's wife passed away. It is so far the only picture that I have of her that wasn't found on ancestry.com

I have deleted the memorial. Thanks for the heads up about the duplication! Diane

I noticed that today when I got a reply back from findagrave, that they didn't put all of the vital statistics for Clio Genevieve's, that I sent. So I sent it again. So many times people on findagrave don't respond because they aren't active with the web site. Also, some people are just down right difficult. They think the site is for their own posterity rather than sharing their research. I don't understand that type of thinking.
I have also sent some information for Martha Elenor but I haven't received a response yet.

|Barry Michie||RE: Posting Obits on Findagrave|
I stand corrected.
|Barry Michie||Posting Obits on Findagrave|
It appears there is much gray area if not wiggle room in Findagrave "general photo guidelines" for posting on memorials. There is no explicit rule against posting obits or newspaper clippings. Do they count as "photos" or does one have to worry about copyright on newspaper clippings? Some make no sense at all for older stuff, i.e. old family photos for which one does not have copyright or took oneself (there go all my old photos in the family collection!!). I agree post-mortem photos are in very bad taste and lifting photos from other websites is not a good idea.

I want to thank you for the edits to the two sisters' memorials - Anna E Shatto Goshert and Mattie Irene Shatto Kinnaird in Rest-Haven Memorial Park.
I have a couple of tweaks to make to Anna's bio sketch and will send them to you on the auto edit tab - one more Humane son (died in infancy in Minnesota) and the spelling of her daughter Dorothy, actually Dorotha M(arietta Goshert) Sayles, who also rests in Rest-Haven: Jonathan Mauser memorial creator.
I've put in auto edits for the memorials for Anna's son Harry and daughter Dorotha but they haven't happened yet. Interestingly Anna has a grave marker in Mound Cemetery, Benton County, Minnesota - as Anna E Humane - that evidently was placed when her first husband Horace died and was buried there - but she obviously remarried and moved on.
Best, Barry # 47110636
PS: As you do not appreciate obits posted on memorials I would suggest you mention this in your otherwise most welcoming contributor profile, OK?

I just wondered if you were related? Thanks
