9 April 2016 Most of the memorials I manage are in Rest-Haven Memorial Park. The cemetery has about 17,000 graves with just over 15,350 of them on Find-A-Grave. Rest-Haven has a mausoleum in addition to the cemetery. This cemetery has no upright gravestones, only flat ground level grave marker. The cemetery does not require that a grave be marked, so many graves have no markers.
I will be happy to make additions or corrections to the memorials I manage. PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE A "Public Message" WHEN ASKING FOR EDITS OR TRANSFERS. If you have a correction, extra information or want a transfer please use the EDIT TAB on that individual's memorial. Then use the suggestion option to add information or ask for a transfer. If asking for a transfer please state how you are related.
I enjoy genealogical research and like to enhance the memorials I manage. It will take a while for me to get to all 4,000 plus memorials. I give top research priority to the memorials that people show an interest in. So when edits are sent to me I research that memorial. If you have information for a memorial please send it. If you are not a Findagrave contributor please send me an email with your information. On the email's subject line put "Findagrave- (the memorial number or name)". Be sure to also include the person's name and memorial number in your email.
OBITUARIES: Dave Baker, editor of the Eugene Register-Guard Newspaper, has given me permission to post obituaries on Findagrave.com.
RE: Ida Adaline Simmons Boles The daughter of Ida Adaline Simimmons Boles was Caroline Emmaline McCord, born 11 May 1892 in Oklahoma, died 1977 in Arizona. This Carrie was never a Boles (her mother Ida married Boles after Carrie was an adult. Carrie was my grandmother. Sorry to be so long in answering your message but I just found it. Janice Russell
RE: George Harper Hi Rebecca - That's OK. I looked it up and Washington Township is pretty much on top of Monticello, so they're the same place, really. His birth registration said he was born in Washington Twp, so that's why I changed it. Thanks for being so careful! Alison
Kayo Callagan Thank you for the edit requests. They will be processed as soon as I review them. Wherever did you find the adorable photo you posted on this memorial?
Just a reminder, or in case you don't know, I thought you might like to know that I transfer out of guidelines. If you would like custody of any memorials I manage please submit an Edit request using the "Suggest any other correction or addition" option. If I am not related I will transfer. Thank you!
I received a public message from you about editing and transfers on Find A Grave. Was this a generic message to novices like me or had I made some change request in an inappropriate fashion? If so, please let me know. Thanks. Bob Young
Henrietta Trow Lord Reference Memorial #146231869. You have indicated some information which, to date, I don't have such as full date of birth; date and place of death; her husband's name. Everything that I have as to place of birth is NY. Did you have access to an obituary? Thank you, Harry L Miller firstname.lastname@example.org
RE: Mary Boardman #29329467 I have been to the cemetery, just yesterday. My father, Wendell R. Boardman is buried there. I live 6 miles away. Mary Prescott Boardman' stone has melted into the ground. In 2000 I covered it in a sheet of plexiglass to preserve it for as long as possible. I'm trying to have a marker made for her. She rests just to the left of her husband Deacon Benjamin Boardman. I take care of this cemetery. Stones are sinking, some have broken and need repair. Spring can't come soon enough. The stone that is being used on the web site belongs to Edwin & Eliza B. McAllester's dau. Mary, and, she has a brother right beside her. Sorry to bother you with the email, I thought the instructions gave me the correct person to contact. I"ll go back when I can to try and get this corrected. Thanks for letting me know.
