Born 18 Nov 1756 & died 13 Dec 1819.
Age at death - 63y / 0m / 25 d.
Buried at First Presbyterian in NJ.
Was the birth date actually confirmed or simply calculated based on the age at death?

RE: Samuel M. Morris ancestor(s)
The Morris family are very distant relatives of mine. I'm in the process of doing some research and will get back with you.

RE: Samuel M. Morris ancestor(s)
Do you know who William Thomas Morris' father was? In my family tree sons of Samuel are Thomas Jasper, James Barksdale, Samuel W., and William J.

Thomas Jasper did not have any sons named William Thomas so it would have to be one of the other sons.

I'll do some research on the other sons and see what I can find.

RE: James Morris - FaG #14656246
Hi Chuck,
I apologize for my long overdue reply to your request for info on James Morris. I'm afraid I really don't have any info to contribute in regards to the marriage and children of his son John, but can tell you this, Joseph is also my 3rd great grandfather. My 2nd great grandmother is his daughter Mary Ellen. Would love to know which one of my great uncles you descend from. I don't have a lot of time these days to research, but when I get some more time I will definitely have to research more about great grandpa John.
So nice to meet a cousin ? times removed!
Melissa

RE: Same Comp?
Don't know if you got my reply. I will try again. My Samuel Comp is my great grandfather. Samuel was father to my grandfather Milton Haines Comp. Milton Haines Comp is my dad's father. Lloyd M Comp is my father. Do you have any other information on Daniel Jasper Comp? I would like to know his wife's name and the children they had. Please send any information to me via my email at curlypenna@yahoo.com
Would love to hear from you. Dorothy

Samuel Comp
Gee I must really confuse you. Samuel Comp was my great Grandfather on my fathers side. His parents were Daniel and Lydia Comp. Samuel Comp married Mary Ann Haines. Samuel died in Harrisburg State Hospital May 30, 1923 after being there 8 months 29 days. Both he and Mary Ann are buried in Mechanicsburg Cementary, Cumberland County,Pa.
I have been unable to find out Samuel's middle name or birthdate. Do you have any further information. I would appreciate you contacting me and filling me in on how you are related to the Comp family. Please keep in touch. Dorothy

RE: Same Comp?
Hello, Good to hear from you. I am not certain on Samuel Comps father and his mother. It very well could have been the Daniel you mentioned. Samuel was born in Perry county to Daniel and I believe Lydia Comp. DO you have any more information on this Samuel or Daniel Comp? I would love to hear from you by email if possible. My email is curlypenna@yahoo.com. Look forward to hearing from you soon. Have a great day. Dorothy
