I started doing this after I retired in 2009 and after my brother-in-law told me all about Find-a-Grave. I started with my family and since add memorials locally.

Thank you for the information. I removed the request for a photo for Fred and contacted the site owner regarding the location of the cemetery change. Thank you for your research. Be blessed!

You placed a photo of Axel and Clair Johnson on the memorial for Oscar Wilhelm Johnson. Could you please remove it? They are cousins, but not the same people.

Suggested correcttion.
For Edwin Beanblossom memorial 133648880 you have his parents.

The father Mert Beanblossom is correct.

However, the mother is not Margaret Beanblossom. This Margaret married Mert in 1927.

The correct mother is Mabel Beanblossom memorial 70207488, first wife of Mert.

RE: Carl H. Steinberg
Thanks so much for checking on that. I don't know. Maybe they had a stone in two cemeteries and then discovered it when Marguerite died.

Cleo Ballstadt
Just a minor correction to Cleo Ballstadt in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in rural Knierim, Iowa. The date of death should read 2015 instead of 2014. Thank you for your volunteer service, it really helps those of us trying to do family trees.

Carl H. Steinberg
Sorry to bother you again. I have another question. The tombstone that Lois photographed has Carl's name on the left and Marguerite on the right and no design on the stone. The one you took a photo of has design and has Marguerite on the left and Carl on the right. Mem. 120163045

The date Lois posted the stone was 2011 but I am sure the photo was taken in 2003 when we were there. I don't think she has been back there.

I know you said that Carl was buried at St. Thomas but I wonder what happened to the other tombstone. Is it at all possible that Carl could be at Mt Hope with the no design tombstone and Marguerite at St. Thomas with the design tombstone.

This is a mystery to me and since you live there maybe you can straighten it out for me.

RE: Carl Steinberg
PS Thanks to your e mail and me trying to get the cemetery straightened out I discovered that Carl Joseph. died last August. I didn't know that. I found his obit online.

I thought after we had the reunion in 2003 that the Iowa Steinbergs and the Illinois Steinbergs would keep in touch. Some did come to our 2005 reunion in Illinois but then we just kind of lost touch. I am in touch with Earl Joseph's daughter Paula though.

My grandfather and Carl Henry's father, Henry were first cousins.

RE: Carl Steinberg
Thanks, I will change the cemetery.

Lois and I were there in 2003 for the Steinberg Reunion and we were taken to several cemeteries to find the gravestones.
