Bio and Links
Bio Photo Hi, I am 59, sort of retired. My husband Jim and I have a small farm. We have about 40 cows, that we feed and take care of. Calving is fun, unless it's below zero at 2 in the morning. But, we take the good with the bad. Seeing a live baby get up in those conditions is a miracle. Even "I" like the heat from the hair dryer !!

I'm researching my family, with names like the "Giacoletto" clan from Arkansas, and my Mother's "Maluda" family in Massachusetts. Also my Step Dad's family from Cloud County, Ks, the Coyle's and Gibbs. My husbands side are from this area, Ottawa County, and they are Henry, and Haley's.

I am on the dyslexic side of things, so hard as I try, what I see, may not be what is really there. So, if you see errors, please let me know, and I will correct them.

There's just not too much more I guess. Thanks for listening. Sue

Thanks for transferring Jesse to me. I've added his obit and linked him to his parents in Wabaunsee County. I've also located several of his children and have sent edits to them. Every little bit helps.

RE: Henry Hanks
Sue, thanks so much. Still checking through your info, as you provided so much. I did find Henry in Crook county, Oregon in 1910 instead of Washington. He is with Mary (Schad, I assume - listed as his 2nd marriage, when according to your info it is his 4th),and Jean V listed as grand-daughter. Same Jean V. is listed as daughter Janette in 1920 Washington. Other oddities - There is a child Rhoda from Eunice Hodson marriage that goes with Eunice after divorce although other two children Corin Tilla and Van Walter stay with Henry? Also wondering about marrying/divorcing Martha Robertson all the way in Indiana, as well as living in Montana 1893 to 1899, but have not found those yet. Divorcing Eunice in Corrine Utah seemed odd as well but found there was a divorce "mill" there at the time that gave quick easy divorces. This guy got around! Because he moved around so much, I want to make sure I am not mixing him up with other Henry Hanks. Thanks very much for replying, your find-a-grave info is proving immensely helpful.

Henry Hanks
I am interested in your information on Henry Hanks. I am gathering data on Henry Hanks son of Nehemiah Hanks from Ohio. Can you tell me where your information came from (marriages, divorces, inter-state emigration, etc). There are many Henry Hanks and I am having trouble sorting them out, and wondering if you actually had a written or oral family history to back up your info. Thanks to you or anyone else reading this who can help. Brenda Stinson Thomas, Logan County, OH

RE: Alice Hapes
Thank you Sue Henry. I am rather new to ancestry.com and find a grave so don't know all the in's and out's of the system. I would love to have Alice May Anderson Hapes transfered to me. She was my dad's oldest sister. My dad is still living and he is going to be 94 on August 29th, 2015. Thank you for reaching out to me. Wish I knew how we are connected, if you want to share.

Sincerely, Kathryn "Katie" Anderson Jackson

RE: Anna Briscoe/ Culver Union
Thank you. No need at this point. I'm technically not related. This is one of my aunt's family.

I wonder if I may have your permission to use your cemetery photo on my family website. Check it out at www.freienmuth-shortridge.com/shortridge/cemeteries.html. This is how I'd be using the photos and obituaries I find on Find A Grave, with 'used with permission' in the caption.

Thank you.
