Hi, I am 60, sort of retired. My husband Jim and I have a small farm. We have about 40 cows, that we feed and take care of. Calving is fun, unless it's below zero at 2 in the morning. But, we take the good with the bad. Seeing a live baby get up in those conditions is a miracle. Even "I" like the heat from the hair dryer !!|
I'm researching my family, with names like the "Giacoletto" clan from Arkansas, and my Mother's "Maluda" family in Massachusetts. Also my Step Dad's family from Cloud County, Ks, the Coyle's and Gibbs. My husbands side are from this area, Ottawa County, and they are Henry, and Haley's.
I am on the dyslexic side of things, so hard as I try, what I see, may not be what is really there. So, if you see errors, please let me know, and I will correct them.
There's just not too much more I guess. Thanks for listening. Sue

Hi- I'm researching the John William Simmons (68128618) family and noticed the photos you posted to their memorials. I was hoping you might be able to help with locating his daughters Sarah, Catherine and Nancy Mae. I'm also requesting the links for John W. and Raymond be removed from John William. The marker states these are "sons" (brothers). Raymond was born in 1941 and can't be his son since he passed in 1933, still trying to link their parents. I did locate memorials for his sons George, Richard and Bennett. Hopefully the links will be accepted soon. Still searching for Gilbert. Any information regarding any of his children is appreciated. Thank-you.

I found this obituary for Mary Markley Knight in the Abilene Daily Reflector, Abilene, Kansas, 18 May 1888.
Maybe you can add to the memorial. This is not my family I just ran across it.
Article from the Abilene Daily Reflector, Abilene, Kansas, 18 May 1888 reads...
DEATH OF MARY MARKLEY KNIGHT AT DENVER, COLORADO
There was received, by the noon train, the remains of a former resident of this vicinity, Mrs. Mary Knight nee Markley. The deceased was a daughter of A. J. Markley, living south of the city. Some seven or eight years ago she married Mr. Knight and they resided for a time in Enterprise. Last fall they removed to Denver, Colorado.
She has been failing for several months and on Wednesday, at her home, 633 Santa Fe Avenue, Denver, passed quietly and peacefully away, another victim of "consumption's awful form." She was aged 27 years 5 months and 28 days. She leaves motherless three children, a boy of 7 years, a girl of five and a babe seven weeks old.
The funeral services were held this afternoon at the home of her father, and the interment was in the Farmington Cemetery. Rev. John Humbarger officiated.
The bereaved husband accompanied the remains of his wife to this city.
This is the second death in the Markley family within a few months and they have the earnest sympathy of their numerous friends.

Hi Sue, I am answering for my Son David Perez. We are tracing our ancestries. Is your husband in any way related to Everette Gavin & is so how? My Mother Evelyn was a twin to Everette Gavin. Born Feb. 25,1904 in Joplin, Missouri. Born to Jessie & Myrtle Gavin. I believe he died the same year in September. Please let me know if there is any connection to you. Thank you Jo

Hi Sue! You and I used to email each other quite a bit.
I don't know if you remember me. You sent me many photos of Verdi.
You also took many pictures for me in the Greenville Cemetery.
You sent many photos of Verdi to me, of which I can no longer find in my computer. Do you still have some handy.
Thank you, Denise

Hi Sue, I have a question. Your memorial for Daniel Dyer, is it a memorial marker or is he actually buried there? I ask because he is also listed as buried where he was killed in Honolulu, Memorial #3773754. I'm wondering if he was reinterred at a later date as is alluded to in one of the comments but I haven't found proof of it. Thanks so much for your time. Michelle
