I used to work for Cold Spring Granite Company, a firm that quarried and fabricated lots of granite for headstones across our nation. Today I have retired from the day job and drive school bus to remain active.|
My mother kept records of our family for many years and passed that information on to me before she passed away. I have become very interested in family tree information and found this web site with lots of information for free. I am always looking for the best deal.
So this is something I can do in Central Minnesota to contribute to other people who are looking for information on their relatives.
My pictures are not copyrighted. So please feel free to use them as you wish.
I have created pages for many people to whom I am not related. If you would like to take over the management of people in your family, please ask. I will be happy to transfer the page to you.

Thanks so much for your kind offer. It's going to take me awhile to zero in on the final list of "candidates" but once that's in place I very well reach out for some help digging up some life details to better tell their "life stories."
Once I "get my list together"... I'll reach out if I start running into some issues. Danke! "PJ"

De nada, mi Amigo... I'm working on a personal project for next Memorial Day. My goal is to identify/confirm basic information about the service men/women from Stearns County that made the supreme sacrifice for the freedoms we hold close. Ultimately I'll do a bit of a report on them and their "Gold Star Families."
My immediate focus will be on those from the Melrose area... since that is where I was born, but who knows after that. I just figured that once I found out additional information on them, I'd better share it... so this might not be the last time you hear from me. ;o)
Thanks for all you do in creating these Find A Grave memorials; you've already made my job easier!

I am thinking this is actually Andrew B Meyers, an uncle who was in the 4th MN. He was in Co. G which could be mistaken for a C. Been looking everywhere for a death record of him. He lost an eye in the war. Spouses name was Magdalena Elizabeth.

Thank you so much for all the work you have done to try and track this down. I guess it will just remain a mystery.
