I live in Port Orange, Florida and have been researching my family since 1977. I enjoy prowling cemeteries and taking photos of the graves. I figured if I'm walking by a grave why not photograph it for someone else. Some of these older stones are rapidly deteriorating and should be photographed as soon as possible before they're gone.
Also, as a Vietnam vet, I like to honor our service men and women by leaving a virtual flower on their memorial.
I firmly believe we all should learn more of our ancestors and share this information with anyone interested.
My main lines are Orrell, Roberts, Stanley, Alford, Banks, Lowe and Knight. Main states are FL, GA, SC, NC & MD. My wife's lines are Hughart, Carnes & Newhouse of Kanawha Co, WV. | |

| Abram W Sturr headstone
Thank you so much for your "random act of kindness." Abram was my paternal grandfather.
I knew he was buried at Pinewood Cemetery...but, living on the West Coast, I have never made it to Florida since I retired.I never knew Abram...he died when my father was but 10. I did know my grandmother(his wife) for a short time. I believe she, too, is buried at Pinewood(Winifred Church Sturr).
