Bio and Links
Bio Photo I live near Grey Eagle, Minnesota. I am an amateur historian of the Catholic Diocese of Saint Cloud, Minnesota and the Catholic Church in greater Minnesota. I also enjoy photographing smaller cemeteries and fulfilling photo requests.

I am happy to transfer management of almost any of my memorials if you have a closer tie to the person.

If you know the burial location of any person for whom I do not have a cemetery listed, please let me know.

Father Jeram

Sorry I was unable to get you a photo, the cemetery has no record of him.
However I did find other information in the local papers and would be glad to email them to you if you would like them?
The following is from the San Francisco Call Newspaper 20 July 1897....."Ukiah, California July 19, 1897. The remains of Father Peter J. Jeram were on Saturday last consigned to the grave in the Catholic Cemetery at this place. No services were held at the grave, nor were any of the religious ceremonies usually accorded to members of the Catholic church tendered the dead priest."

Peter Jeram, Holy Cross Cemetery, Colma, California

I noticed you had a photo request for Peter. There is no record of him in the cemetery records (I tried looking for the plot location and he is not listed anywhere). So I did a little digging and he should be buried in a Catholic cemetery near Ukiah, California, which is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay north of here. This link is what I based this information from:

He shouldn't be buried at Holy Cross in Colma. Hope this helps!

Thought it was going to be a slam dunk when you mentioned "priest plot". I checked the Jesuit Plot and could not find a marker with his name. The Jesuit Plot is the only "priest plot" in Concordia that I know of. Do you have any additional information?

RE: Fr Julius Lemmer
Thank you for the info that you gave me. With the info that he was from Marathon makes me believe that I am on the right track.

Fr Julius Lemmer
I am trying to complete my family's history. I recently discovered a letter written by my late father-in-law more than 30 years ago which states that his aunt's son was a Priest and her daughter's were nuns. This aunt, Catherina Seliger born 1852 married a John Lemmer. She was from Marathon County Wisconsin, and the daughter of Herman and Ottila Heil Seliger. Do you have any info on who Fr Lemmer's parents were, his sisters and any info about their death's and burials?

RE: Deacon Smith
It was a lovely day here. So nice that we didn't get the predicted snow.

I noticed as I was loading the picture that there is a note about Robert's date of ordination to the deaconate at the bottom of the monument. If this is important to you I can go back and get a picture that would show that better.

Take care, Laurie
