Bio and Links
Bio Photo My direct ancestral line in America begins with the Robinsons of Cambridge, MA, with William Robinson (1640-93) and Elizabeth Cutter (1645-92) being one of the first 56 members of Cambridge Village, MA and also the lineal family of Captain Richard Olmsted (1612-87), an original proprietor of Hartford, CT.

If you could see your ancestors
All standing in a row,
Would you be proud of them or not,
Or don't you really know?

Some strange discoveries are made
In climbing family trees,
And some of them, you know, do not
Particularly please.

If you could see your ancestors
All standing in a row,
There might be some of them, perhaps,
You wouldn't care to know.

But here's another question, which
Requires a different viewó If you could meet your ancestors,
Would they be proud of you?

Many thanks!

Hi, I found your profile while searching for my Harwood ancestors. I really like the poem you posted ("would your ancestors be proud of you"); would you mind if I posted it on my facebook page? Did you write it (I'll say so, if that's the case)? Thanks,

There is a site called Vermont in the Civil War. They are on FB also. The photo came from the John Gibson collection. Check the site out it may talk about them.

Diantha Holmes
I'm searching for information about Diantha Holmes, born 1814 in St. Alban, Franklin County, Vermont. I wonder if you have any family records that can help me connect to her parents. I have much detail on her later years after coming to Oregon, but have found dead ends looking for her Vermont family.

Lovina Romp
You have an interesting story on Lovina's memorial. She is an ancestor of mine and I wondered if I could copy your story to add to her on my ancestry tree?

Thank you,
Marylin DeYoung

Josiah Brush
Hello my name is Annie Lytle Durigan and I have been trying to find proof that Ruth Brush Danforth is the daughter of Josiah and Betsy Brush I have been to Bennington and Fairfax Vt. but I have been unable to find any kind of birth or death certificate for Ruth (she is my 2x great grandmother) in order to use Josiah for my patriot the DAR needs copies of birth and death certificates christening or family bible When I was in Bennington I was able to get a copy of the Bennington Declaration of freedom May 1775 of which Josiah was on of the signers it is very interesting. I would appreciate any help you could give me. Thank you for you time Annie
