I have been doing cemetery and family research in Boone Co for almost 40 yrs. I have tracked down cemeteries in many odd places. I have searched for cemeteries that have become only memories due to various reasons. My cemetery photo collection covers even some stones that have been moved - lost or just disappeared. |
If you have questions about the location of any cemetery - stone - or need additional photos of any cemetery I will try to help.
Some photos may not be quite up to what I
would like. As such as time and all permits
I will be retaking as necessary. If you
find one that you would like a better pic of
- please notify me which one it is and I will correct.
It has been brought to my attention that
there are some people posting cemetery
listings on FAG that they get by going to
their local libraries and copying from work
done by others. Then they 'restrict' your entering info on anyone without
their ''permission'' or you HAVE to send
them the info for them to enter.
I will not have any contact with those
people. All they are doing are looking
for their 'glory' in the number of names
that they can post.
If someone wants to post info to anything
that I have listed - I will either transfer
the listing to them or they can send me the
info and I will post it for them. I do not
restrict anyone from using my listings -
and even will assist in making any
corrections if necessary.
If anyone has questions about my work -
contact me - as I have stated before -
I have been doing this for over 40 yrs.
And I personally have visited every cemetery that I post info or pictures on.
I have even found some photos that I have
taken posted on other sites under someone
elses name. The people that do that need
to remove them unless they have asked my permission and credit me or anyone else
who did take the photos. If I find any
photos that are mine used without my
permission under someone elses name - I
will take action.
The best way to get info about any family
members on FAG is to contact a person that
lives in the area. They will know more
about the family - cemetery or other info
then someone who never has been in the area.

Thank you ---- A note on the memorials about the variation in the spelling of the name would be good. This is probably a problem that happened with the Americanization in the spelling of the name.

Dear Floyd, I just made an edit to Alexander's memorial to add places of birth & death. Let me explain about his birthplace so that you will understand the edit. "Big Lick" was the original name of Roanoke, VA. The name was changed in either the late 1870's or early 1880's. Alexander was married to a cousin of mine & I discovered this while doing family research. I hope that you will approve the edit. Thank you so very much. Monty Williams.

Thank you for the headstone photo!
Thank you for transferring Rusty's memorial.
All the best,
I have a copy of an old Boone County, Missouri map. It shows a Evans Cemetery north of Rucker, Boone County, Missouri. Mom says Kirt Evans lived there at one time. he is Buried at Perche Church Cemetery.
This marking is no more than a mile north of Rucker and on the west side of the road. I remember Gene and Rose Robinson living about where this is. If I am not mistaken Rose was a Evans, maybe even Kirt Evans daughter.
Do you know anything of this?
If I have asked this before I am truely sorry but my memory is not as good as it once was.

I believe you have made an error as to what is on his tombstone regarding his Civil War Service. You have that he was in the 76th, but it is actually the 178th, according to records, and if you look closely that is what is on the tombstone. Just thought you may want to update.

Margurite G. Riechmann 51371325 was married to Clarence Riechmann 51371326 Not to Fred who I know nothing about. This some of mom's people.
I am now living near Kansas City. Had some health problems, my kids are up here. I think I am slowly improving.
