I have transcribed alot of records in the Eldon Cemetery (Wapello Co. Iowa). |
If you have more info on any of these & would like me to transfer them to you let me know.
I did this so families could connect with each other.
I always like it when someone does this for me!!!

Thank you Becky! You are amazing! You must live close to Eldon Cemetery because it didn't take long for you to get this photo. You saved me a tank of gas, but maybe I will drive west and see if I can locate his children sometime.
Aaron is my dads 1st couin, the son of my grandmothers oldest brother Neal Huisman. Neal died in Douds, Van Buren County, Iowa, not far from Eldon, but I have no idea what cemetery he is buried in?
If you are not related to Esquire Craft, would you please transfer to me? I have his father and sister and more data to add. I sent you his name edit & appreciate you doing that edit for our family!

Can you please give me directions to the cemetery?

I am a descendant of the Byerly/Jenison family who are buried in Garrison Rock Cemetery outside of Ottumwa. I have made two attempts to locate this cemetery in the last 3 weeks. So far unsuccessful....not sure if it has been let go to grow over or what. I accessed the Mcirnery property with permission and went up the steep drive (walked as the gate was padlocked) not an easy feat for me as I have a double knee replacement and my brother is handicapped also. anyway...walked all around the top of the hill there and even went back a 2nd time with my husband and were still unable to locate the graves. Would you know exactly where we need to look once we get to the top of the hill there? which direction it lies? we tried looking on Beacon from above satellite shots but couldn't see any gravestones etc.
I would dearly love to care for this place a few times of year, I could go and keep it trimmed up if I could only find it!
Any help or direction you could give me would be wonderful.

Hi Becky, are you related to the Lute family? Where did the middle name of Marvin come from? I an a first cousin 3 times removed of John and everyone here in Ohio believes his middle name was Houston (John Houston Lute). Would like to know for sure so I can get in right in my family history. Thanks Brenda Massie Tolle

Thank you so much!! I'll see if I can research the niece. How sad that there is no family to contact....kids, siblings, etc. Jolene

This is the COOLEST website. Thank you to whomever started it!!
I was given an old military Bible in 1977. It has an inscription to O.E.Burkholder from his mother and the town in Iowa along with the date from 1943, which tells me this person was most likely in WWII. I have been trying to his family off and on for years (google, for instance) to send them this Bible. I believe I found the correct person:
