Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am searching Schaefer from Tipp City, OH Frank H Schaefer came from Ohio to Kentucky and met Helen Kincaid. He was the son of Frank R Schaefer, son of Johann Adam Schaefer. Adam and his wife Elizabeth came from Germany around 1950. I am also searching the Kincaid family from Lee County, Kentucky. Lycugus Kincaid married Maude therefore I am searching the Deaton family of Lee County, Kentucky. My mother married Ralph Thomas Martin, so that is leading me to the Martin's in Powell County, Kentucky, descendants of John L. (Luther) Martin. His mother Elva Johnson leads me to Hugh Johnson and Lucy Hall....and the list goes on!

RE: Gabbard Cemetery
This was a comment on a post I had on facebook a while back: Dennis Johnson they are buried at the Gabbard/Childers cemetery on Wide Creek in Lee co. Take St road 52 from Beattyville to st rt 708 by Thorps store turn left follow to Wide creek rd. Look for Childers cemetery Rd and follow it to cemetery. William Gabbard was raised as a brother to my great grand father Claibourne Gabbard. His mother was Ann Gabbard father was a Carpenter.

I live in Jackson, if you would like, I would be more than willing to take you to Gabbard Flats if we can go around my work schedule.

RE: Gabbard Cemetery
I go to Gabbard Flats several times a year and have for most of my life. This is my family cemetery. There are several memorials added to this cemetery, but the graves are not there. I have asked the people who have created them to change the cemetery and have had no response. I have went as far as to ask the people who took the photos of the headstones about the cemetery and they couldn't tell me the right way to get there. There is a Gabbard Cemetery in Lee County. That is where these memorials should be. Wide Creek is in Lee County. If you have facebook, there are a few Breathitt County genealogy pages on there and there are directions to the cemetery you're seeking. I have been meaning to go there myself, but just haven't had the time between work and 16 month twins. You can also call the Breathitt County Library and ask for Stephen Bowling. He is the county genealogist and he can tell you just about anything you want to know about the families in and around Breathitt.

RE: Georgia Lutes Arnold
I think Georgia was related to some Kincaid's. According to her marriage certificate, Frank and Douglas Kincaid were Witnesses at her wedding.

RE: Delia Bach Kincaid Leach, Ora & Herla Kincaid
I have checked all of the Gabbard Cemeteries that I know of and I can't find out any information. I will try and do some more research and see If I can find something out. We plan on another trip to Kentucky in May and we are going to the Gabbard Cemetery on Walking Log Road, Lee County. I will talk to my sister and see what she can find out. I will do my best to figure this out.

Kincaid Family
You posted Ora Mable Kincaid 1918-1918 #1311101227
and Herla Kincaid 1914-1914 131101451 in the Gabbard Cemetery on Walk Log Road. This cemetery is where a lot of my relation are buried. I think you have the wrong cemetery. I think they should be in the Gabbard Flat Cemetery, Lee County, Kentucky. There are three Gabbard Cemeteries that are all real close to each other.
I have been all over Gabbard Cemetery on Walk Log Road, Athol, Kentucky and taken pictures of all the stones and there isn't any Kincaid family in this cemetery
