I live in Fort Worth, Texas but I'm a native of Southeastern Oklahoma. |
My family are all Southerners. We started arriving in the Americas in the mid 1600s and always stayed south. As we moved west, we kept our Southern roots. So far, no Yankee in the soup yet.
I'm well traveled (Asia and Europe as well as in the USA) and even lived in Europe for four years (1980s).
I've taught high school in the FWISD of many years and as one of the ways to way to relax I research family.
I have been researching my family for 30 years and only recently discovered Find A Grave. I am delighted with this opportunity to not only find photos of my own family members, but also to help others. Fort Worth is loaded with very old cemeteries that I can explore for people.
Just let me know and I'll do what I can to help others find the markers of your deceased family members.
I'm adding memorials as I can. I'm doing this only so people can find their families. If you want me to transfer a family member's memorial, just let me know and I'll be happy to do so.

|Tom Ledbetter||Thank You|
Thanks for all you do sweetie !!! Your photo of my Fathers grave is appreciated as I live far away and seldom get to Fort Worth. Blessings to you !!! Tom
|Linda Stockton||O T and Marjorie Clark|
Thank you for the transfer of OT and Marjorie. I have been in touch with Marjorie a few times this past few years. I probably did a no-no but I copied the picture of their grave marker and put it on Marjorie's. I will hopefully have a chance to request an updated picture upon her death. I hope this is OK.
I notice that you are "maintaining" the record of Kenneth Lusby, buried in Forest Park West in Shreveport, LA, but it was added by someone else. Do you have direct connection with this family? I would appreciate it if you would like his mother, Lavonia Belle Lusby 9730817.
Kenneth was my 1st cousin to whom we were quite close. If you do not have direct connection to him, I would like to have the record transferred to me. If you are part of Pauline's family, please maintain the record.

Hi Texas Researcher.
You asked me to attach Benjamin H Newport's memorial to Ezekiel Newport.
This Ezekiel Newport was my great, great grandfather on my father's side and I do not have a record of a Benjamin H Newport.
From the records I have I don't believe this Ezekiel is the father of Benjamin H Newport.
The last two children Ezekiel had were Alvin Newport and Sarah Newport born in Fe and October of 1884.
A family photo of Ezekiel with Alvin and Sarah as older children and there isn't another child pictured.
Ezekiel died from being kicked in the head by a horse and both Alvin and Sarah went to live with their older half sister Minnesota Newport and then half brother William Newport. Census records do not list a Benjamin.
Now if Benjamin is a child from another woman with Ezekiel then I could be completely wrong but I would like to verify that information before I tie these two together.
Can you please provide me some information which shows that Benjamin is this Ezekiel's last child?
Also another note. There are several Ezekiel Newports around this time period. In addition to my Ezekiel Newport the other Ezekiel's were born 1777,1854 and 1866.
I am wondering if perhaps you are mistaking my grandfather for one of these other gentlemens?

I also have been trying to get in touch with the lady who has ownership of the Hunter-Cotnam graves on find a grave. Can not get any respond . Did you get in touch with her?
I'm not sure who you are, but guessing maybe Pam as I know her. Elizabeth Hunter Cotnam was my g-g-grandmother, and Martha Jane Cotnam Hogan was my g-grandmother. Would love to hear from you.
